Conner walked to his camp. It was a small camp with about 7 tents. One for each of the members. Some were empty after killed members. Only three were filled now. The extra 3 was the Mess tent, Armory tent and extra storage tent. He went to the armory tent hoping they had an extra Claymore sword available.
Annaella looked around with a small frown. She hated other clans. She crossed her arms as she walked through place. She looked at him and bit her lip as she looked around. In a way he had brought death into his camp. She put her hand on the hilt if her sword and looked around, scanning the area for any threat she might want to take out.
They only had one left. Thank god for Ethan and how he didn't use his sword. He picked it up and studied it. It was made by his brother, he knew that because it had a small EM on the hilt. Ethan made all their weapons because he didn't do very good in a fight. He looked to see what else he could grab. He looked back at the closed doors and grabbed some centaur blood. It was like acid. He slipped the vial in his other jacket and put it on. Then he left the tent.
Annaella felt a small ping in her stomach and frowned a little. She took out Lifegiver and looked at its dim blue light. Lifegiver was a sword much like her spear. It gave her life and energy whenever she felt weak. The only difference was that her spear just gave her life and her sword was connected to her. She put it away and then looked at Conner, "You done yet?" She asked with a small scowl
"Ready to die in my best outfit." He said. It wasn't really his best outfit but it was a pretty nice one. He looked at the flag in front of his camp before walking back over to her. He grabbed a sword sheath and put it around his hip. He put his sword in it.
"I wonder if the lamia will eat your body..." Annaella mused. She smiled a little. "Now the little snake must be located..." That was the hard part. She was everywhere and all, but they needed to get her when she was alone. Annaella closed her eyes for a moment. When her eyes opened they were pure black. Both her iris and her pupils were black along with the rest of her eye. It helped her see better.
"Maybe. Aw man and I smell good. Probably taste even better." He said. He wasn't complimenting himself. He looked over to her to see her eyes now black. He frowned but shrugged maybe she was doing some kind of ritual. He didn't know.
"Well that's good." She rolled her eyes ans blinked as her eyes went back to normal. "Now come on, I'm hungry and I can't eat anything here. After you do this you won't owe me a favor anymore." She said with a small smirk. She looked around and put her hand on the tip ofher sword
"But if I die I don't owe anyone a favor after this." He shrugged. "So did you find her?" He asked. He played with the hilt of his sword. He frowned. He was starting to get hungry to. He grabbed an apple from the food tent and sat on a log.
"She is at a house. But she is with a vampire." Annaella murmured as she looked around and then sat down next to him with a long huff.
He picked up a wooden stake and twirled it around his fingers. "Vampires are the least of our worries." He said. Vampires were some of the easiest kills...sometimes. Other times they were confusing. He moved his hair our of his face. "So take out the vampire and the Lamia. Got it."
"Yeah basically. Don't let the Lamia touch you." Annaella said as she stood up and looked around. "Have you got any meat?" She asked. She couldn't eat appless since they shriveled up and turned black in her hand. Same with every other food that had been a plant at some point.
This girl told him a lot of things he could and couldn't touch. He nodded. He looked inside of the food tent. They had boar meat and tons of it from killing that giant boar. He gave to her one top of a slab of stone then took a bite of his apple.
"Thank you." She said as she started to eat. She started to eat and smiled. While she ate she started planning in her head. Well she didn't know where the Lamia had hidden the book. That made her frown, "Just capture the Lamia, don't kill her."
He frowned. No killing. "How do I capture her if I can't touch her?" He asked. "Why am I capturing her?" He turned to her. "What do I do when I capture her?" He took a bite of his apple after rubbing it against his shirt. He liked plans. He liked details. He hated winging it.
"You can touch her,she just can't touch her. Besides she has to kiss you in order for her power to work." She thought. "Anyway once you get her just bring her to me and I will take care of the rest. Your job would be easy. All you have to do is knock a little lamia out."
"Kiss me?" He made a mental note to never date a lamia. "Oh okay I remember now. They can kill guys by draining the life out of them or something. Like you with strength." He grinned a bit. "Other than that they're pretty harmless." He wasn't actually sure if they were harmless but wanted them to be.
"Yeah but I don't have to kiss anyone to do it." She rolled her eyes and leaned against the tree behind her with a small frown. She hated her powers sometimes. She had to admit. She couldn't just turn them off or anything but if she could she would. She looked at the ground and took out her sword and started shifting it in her hand. "I hope she is easy to capure."
"Wow before you were saying that you hoped I get killed. What made you change your mind?" It was a rhetorical question. He rolled his eyes. "So how long do I have to wait until I can go after this lamia? And do I have a time limit?" He asked. She wasn't making this very easy if she didn't make things clear.
"Before she can kill you is your time limit. And whenever you're ready.' She murmured as she stood up. She dropped her sword and then cringed a little before picking it up and putting it back where it belonged.
"Before she can kill me huh? Okay that seems fair." He nodded. He gripped the hilt of his sword. "You still haven't told me exactly where she is or what this book is for?" He added, finishing his apple and flinging the core on the ground.
"The book has power that I want." She said as she ran her hand down her sword and sighed. "Just get the book for me."
He shook his head. "Where is she? I am not searching every house and place to find a stupid lamia. Or at least where does she live. If I know where she lives it will be less pain." He shrugged.
"For now she is in a house near the woods. No one lives there but for now she is with the vampire." She said as she looked at her sword for a moment and then grabbed her spear.
"Uh okay." He said quickly putting his hand over his heart to see if the centaur's blood is still there. It was safe because if it dropped or the vial broke he would die. The vial wouldn't break because it was made from metallic glass and had an enchantment over it. "I'm going to need you to leave my camp though." He said stepping of camp.
"Like I would stay here. I hate other clans... And my own..." She hated everything. She hated her clan and people and everything. She really did not care about anything. She hated everything and she was not scared to admit it
"I don't really care about your friendship problems." He smirked and squatted down put an enchantment around the camp. He forgotten to do it earlier but now people who could not see or hear anything from the camp. He nodded and looked up at the now disappeared camp and small flat land of grass.
"Neither do I." She chuckled a little bit and then walked around a bit. Now all that he had to do was get the Lamia. Somehow she wished that the book would just appear in her hands because she didn't want to deal with the stupid Lamia or the vampire or the stupid Hunter that was getting the stupid Lamia
