15.7 - Here Be Dragons
The only place the book page confirms "dragon" is Fantasy > Dragons 10 users. I'm afraid it may be off the page by the time I post. Requesting genre verification for Balanced on the Blade's Edge. Thanks!

Thanks, now I have a reason to read this book that I have been avoiding, but have been told is good.
Does the dragon tattoo on cover work?
Dragons in book are able to transform to people, if that makes a difference.

Dragons usually have reptilian features.
"a mythical monster generally represented as a huge, winged reptile with crested head and enormous claws and teeth, and often spouting fire."
"a mythical animal usually represented as a monstrous winged and scaly serpent or saurian with a crested head and enormous claws."
That cover depicts a chimera

Just to stay correct in our mythology, I think these are griffins (front eagle, back Lion), and three of them (2 in the front a third one the guy is riding on).
As griffins are heraldic animals, these would also fit into the theme of the novel.

Depends on your definition
chimera: an imaginary monster compounded of incongruous parts.

Yes, that's true, but as griffins already have a name of their own I think we can use it instead of such a amalgation like chimera.
Also, in the beginning the chimera was also a very specific greek monster. Later the term was used for any monster with a mixture of different animals and today the its even used as a scientific term.
But as neither a griffin nor a chimera is a dragon...
I think any of the books in the Temeraire series would work (assuming they meet SRC guidelines - I haven't checked them all)I'm planning to read:
In case anybody needs a book for this task, and likes thrillers:Emperors Once More
There's a dragon head on cover, I think it works for this task?

A book doesn't need a specific genre, it only needs a clear connection to dragons.

Just realized I've never read Naomi Novik before - I've got His Majesty's Dragon on my Nook and this is the perfect excuse to read it :)

Yes, and the "dragonlord" in the description provides a dragon connection, too.

Will this work?Grendel
Grendel is a re-telling of Beowulf, which is full of dragons. Here's a quote from an onlne text version:
The dragon smiled. Horrible, debauched, mouth limp and cracked, loose
against the teeth as an ancient dog's. "Now you know how they feel
when they see you, eh? Scared enough to pee in their pants! He he!" He
looked startled by an unpleasant thought, then cross. "You didn't, did
you ?"
I shook my head.

Hi,Is The Dragon Conspiracy OK?
Dragons is listed as a genre and there's a shadow of a dragon on the cover, there are dragons in the book but it's not clear from the blurb so I wanted to make sure.

Would this work? The dragon figure is part of the ship, and the image on the sail looks like it could be a dragon.

This is a stretch, but do the dragons have to be the traditional creatures? Clan Korval in the Liaden series are humans with a dragon as their symbol, so they are known as the "dragons". I'm hoping to re-read Dragon Ship (Theo Waitley, #4) soon, and wondering whether it would fit in here.(The task description mentions title as one way of identifying the dragon tie-in.)
