So I want recommends in UF. This is somewhat for my husband as he has finished the last of my recommends, top UF. He is NOT going to be reading any YA or NA so don't even try and also no PNR (mainly is a problem with too much sex or graphic). Here are the series that he has read.

Kate Daniels- Ilona Andrews
The Edge (he actually liked this though I think of it on the romance side, not too much sex, if any, though)
Mercy Thompson- Patricia Briggs
Alpha and Omega
The Others- Anne Bishop
Iron Druid - Kevin Hearne
Immortal Empire- Kate Locke
Kara Gillian- Diane Rowland (liked this)
White Trash Zombie (didn't like it as much)

I'm not sure if we did
Disallusionist
Raine Benares
Rachel Morgan
Dresden Files
I'll have to go over them again.

So looking for suggestions.

Alex Craft series Grave Witch (Alex Craft, #1) by Kalayna Price

Cassie Palmer and Dorina Basarab series Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance Midnight's Daughter (Dorina Basarab, #1) by Karen Chance

Rosemary and Rue frustrated me in her lacking investigative skills. Love the world and characters but he is more nuts and bolts of the investigation. Been pointed to the Alex Craft series so I'll have to check that out. Cassie Palmer, on my TBR forever, I'll push it up. Has a character with his name, Mircea. :-)

I really like the Prospero's War series of Jaye Wells so that might work too.
Thanks for those.

Elemental Assassins I liked for a few books and then felt like I was reading the same book almost in plot and was disappointed with the love interest falling apart. I don't know how he would like that.

How about a male protagonist. I was thinking Cal and Nico Leandros series. Is that a good guy series? By looking at all my series, I realize I have a big lack in male protagonists.

Scifi would work too. He really liked the Honor Harrington series of David Weber, On Basilisk Station (Honor Harrington, #1) by David Weber . Still a female protagonist.

I definitely read a lot more female protagonists as well, but I read the first book in the Alex Verus series recently and enjoyed it: Fated (Alex Verus, #1) by Benedict Jacka . It was short but I thought a decent beginning to a UF series, I plan on continuing them in the future.

Another series I've really enjoyed with a male protagonist is the Watch series, translated from Russian:
Night Watch (Watch, #1) by Sergei Lukyanenko

Nightwatch, that is a new one for me. I'll look into that. I like that Alex Verus is pushed, I'm going to move that up too.

So right now I'm putting
Nightlife (Cal Leandros #1) by Rob Thurman Fated (Alex Verus, #1) by Benedict Jacka Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance
on the next shelf and these look interesting too.
Monster Hunter International (Monster Hunter International, #1) by Larry Correia Crimes Against Magic (Hellequin Chronicles, #1) by Steve McHugh

I've put Nightwatch on my TBR pile too though I'll have to get a copy first.

Ilona Andrew, he has done them all but the Innkeepers.
Codex Alera sounds up his alley as it is more fantasy than UF.
Dresden and Nightside are on the gritty morose, self blame side. I like Dresden but can only take him in short shot of maybe 2 books at a time. Nightside just didn't click with me. I would try Dresden first with him and see. I asked and he hasn't read it yet, or didn't remember but I doubt you would forget Dresden completely. :-)

Started the Cassandra Palmer series. I really love it and can't believe I waited so long... but don't think that it would be up my hubby's alley.
Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance
