Did the hair shows open your imagination...or did you base your characters on people you met?

More of a general question but I like to know how authors approach marketing & publicity for their books. If you could pick one or two things that work for you what would they be?

The hair shows were certainly unforgettable. Especially the one I went to in Las Vegas. So much over the top fun! I knew I had to set a book there some day...and so I did. Thanks for your question, Susan.
