With the holidays approaching, you may want to bake or cook something new! Check out a cook book or two and try out a new recipe! Let us know what you made and where you found the recipe!

Mallory This was not exactly a "cookbook," but I had checked out the book "Tea Chings" awhile ago and noticed some recipes sprinkled throughout that looked rather interesting. The book itself is more of a history of tea, its origins, varieties, etc. - fascinating reading for someone who enjoys the beverage as much as I do! So, for Thanksgiving I decided to make the Chai Pie recipe - basically, an apple pie with Indian chai spices and made with an Assam tea as part of the filling. It was a delectable twist on a classic and I enjoyed the more exotic spice flavors that came through, since I prefer desserts that aren't super-sweet. I may yet try another new cookbook/recipe, since there are surely more parties and festivities upcoming!

Dottie | 7 comments While not exactly a cookbook APPLE CIDER VINEGAR FOR HEALTH AND BEAUTY by McGrath, Simon inspired me to try one of the recipes for a medical condition. I feel hopeful that it is making a difference.

Marlene | 6 comments I am baking Soft Baked White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies for a church Christmas dinner. I started with cranberry cookie recipes from library cook books, but then saw this "soft-baked white chocolate" addition to cranberries and I went with this. Hope they make it to the church!
