Greetings all. I recently purchased a second-hand copy of A Clash of Kings and discovered this is a sequel. If I just read this book, will I be missing-out of a bigger story and is it important to read all before this book? I'm not due to commence reading this book for a few weeks yet, which gives me time to read the other books.

Hello! This is the second book out of five so far of the A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. You will be missing out on quite a lot from the first book, but by all means you can start anywhere you feel comfortable!

I might put reading this book on hold and see it I can get other copies of the series. I like this type of book, that is a sequel. I have just completed the Ken Follett trilogy.
