I finally read Destroy Me and I finally get why people liked Warner..I need to read the second book!!
I'm with you on that, Margaret.
No! Why would I want to read a book from Warners perspective! I'd rather jump out a window! If Miss Amazingness didn't fall in love with Warner in the last book, then why would I have to...I will never ever like him.
Never say never. We are never ever ever getting back together. Your friends talk to my friends talk to me.
Nicely said, Margaret ;)
The author changes the personality of nearly every character in the last book. She makes Warner too soft and nice, which isn't swoon-worthy, it's downright creepy.

I think I just fainted... Omg, no. Warner is a misunderstood creature with great hair and a super addicting smile. He makes my heart feel like pudding, really good pudding... Hating Warner is like hating... I don't even know hahah
Yeah, like hold on hahaha. I'm Team Adam... I hate how the author switches Adam to the awful person in the last book, it makes me so mad because he doesn't deserve it. I also hate Juliette, so in reality she deserves neither and that is that haha. I like Warner though, just not as much as Adam
Margaret wrote: "I hate all the characters in those books besides Kenjii or however you spell his name."I mean, I've only read the first book, but I kind of agree with you here.
As for Adam, I can tell you according to Juliette that he's hot, brooding, has a tragic background, and is desperately in love Juliette. He seemed a little bland to me. The romance angle got a little old - yes, I get that Juliette is in love with Adam, thinks he's really super hot practically every other paragraph, and wants to be touched by him but her own body betrays her and seemingly prevents it - it's sweet, but tiresome.
Apparently something dramatically changes with Warner later in the series because all I got from the first books is that he is a flat stock every-villain who's weirdly in love with Juliette and believes together that they will become a force to be reckoned with for reasons I can't quite figure out...I mean, did I (or Warner) miss something crucial about her character? Or, is Warner just filling in every bad guy trope by going there?
I don't know...I've only read the first book, but out the entire cast my favorite was Kenji, too!
I do plan on reading the rest of the series, even though I didn't think the first one quite lived up to the hype.
I never really like either of them from the start.Juliet is weak around Adam and vulnerable around Warner.
I feel like neither of them are good for her and that we need a new character for her to fall for that's actually good for her and not only trying to get to her because it's a competition.
I don't know, but if I had to choose, probably Warner. I liked him in the first book, although I was routing for Adam. He grew on me through the second book and in Ignite Me he won me over.
I like Juliette's backstory, but to me she comes off as very angsty, whiny, and fragile. She is characterized by her love (read: desperation) for Adam, physical beauty, and her status as an outsider. Otherwise, she doesn't seem to have much else going for here, although she is relatively independent and doesn't want to be rescued - I did like this part! :)

That being said, Warner makes me weep haha he's perfect
