Who has finished Sovereign? I admit...I read it twice! For those of you who have finished it, I was wondering your thoughts on Cori and Dylan. The reason I ask is because Cori is surrounded by some pretty amazing guys and as much as I love the best friend/boyfriend, Dylan, I thought Tyce was pretty sexy and I found myself mourning the loss of Titus. Thoughts?
Ooooooh, I have two cool tidbits about Titus but I want to see what some more people have to say first **smirk**
I also read Sovereign twice, right before I read the Offering. I love Cori and Dylan but oh man does Tyce have a big spot in my heart.
Oh I forgot about Titus....I'm torn there. I mourned his loss but more in a big brother sort of way I guess.
I finished it last night. I had a hard time getting into the book. But after a while I got into it and was cheering for Cori and Dylan. I loved Dylan through the whole book - tall, strong, smart, loyal - what's not to like? But Titus - we learned so little about him, but he fascinated me. He seemed much older, though, so I wondered if he was liking Cori in a father-figure way or in a romantic way? Tyce - wow, why don't I remember that character? Was he The City guy? That guy creeped me out. Just kept invading Cori's "personal space" and he had just met her. Seemed like the guy I'd name as "most likely to commit domestic violence". So my vote is for Dylan all the way - with a little heart pang for Titus. The older men in her life were pretty sexy too.Was this part of a series? It seemed to end rather abruptly and unfinished - like there is another book to come.
Even though I had a hard time getting into the book, I did enjoy it. I think what put me off in the beginning was the violence, especially that it was a girl getting hurt.

I liked Titus because he was this mysterious guy in the background who was secretly protective of Cori. I don't know if he is too old for her or more of a big brother character, but I'm a sucker for a guy who cares for a girl with absolutely no expectation of romance or anything for that matter, but simply because he loves/admires/cares for her. Just my thoughts about Titus...

Thanks, Cheer!
Well, first off... Titus was such a cool surprise because he was never planned at all. He was just a guy that bumped into Cori in the hall, and then I later made the hall guy and the trainer guy the same person. It worked, and in early drafts, my beta readers really loved him so I decided to introduce him in the first chapter and make his role more important. I adore the fact that he went from being a utility character to someone so beloved.
Oh yeah, and the other thing is Titus is starring in his own short story -- I'm doing three and they are all prequels. He will be one of them. :)
YAY!! Love to know more about Titus - and prequels!! I'm reading your second book, and last night read the part where she finds the office and lab. Not going to say anymore, but that made me wish to know more about what happened before the events in Sovereign.

I am so excited to hear about the Titus story! I loved him too, I kind of kept hoping that he would miraculously pop back into the picture. As for Dylan... I go back and forth on him. I am going to go start The Offering right now, I loved Sovereign!

I'd love for the group to join me in thanking author E.R. Arroyo for a fantastic BOTM discussion. I want to encourage all of you to pick up a copy of The Offering in order to continue Cori's journey. Thank you to everyone who participated!
