Darla (darlakwilliams) | 3 comments I know there was some MAD hate (too strong?) for my girl Natalie. But I loved her...I didn't love everything she did, but I loved her. I love a complex, complicated, MESSY character. AS LONG AS THAT CHARACTER DESIRES TO GROW. I truly believe that Natalie wanted to change, a lot of people questioned if she truly did change. I believe she did. So, here it is...did she? Was Natalie a better woman because of PG 13?

The answer to that question is...I don't know. Like you, I think she wanted to change. I think, deep in her heart, she did, but becoming something new takes time. There are a lot of circumstances that can cause us to backslide, and I'm not sure where Natalie is in her progression from the dark side. I like to think that Philip's unconditional love has helped her to grow as a person.

And touching on the idea of unconditional love, I'd like to know if you guys think that she had to be a better person to deserve love and forgiveness. Or is love and forgiveness truly something not based on merit? REAL TALK...

Darla (darlakwilliams) | 3 comments I absolutely don't think she had to be a better person to deserve love and forgiveness. Like you, I would like to think that she grew over time. I love flawed people. But I'm not interested in people who don't desire to grow and change. Either way, better person or not, a large part of me loved Phillip because his love for NC-17 was unconditional. He loved her...flaws and all. It doesn't matter who understands that love...because it existed between them. For them.

Darla (darlakwilliams) | 3 comments I totally didn't mean to repeat the line in the last comment about not being interested in a character who didn't desire to grow and change. Somehow I stuck it in from copy and paste...leftover from editing. Ugh. So plead just disregard it. :)

Jolene | 4 comments I think she wanted to change, and with the right support she could. we never stop growing and I believe Natalie will continue to grow and be a better person. Does she deserve forgiveness, absolutely. We all learn from mistakes we make, that helps us all be better human beings.

The weak can never forgive.Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.- Mahatma Gandhi
