The candy floss of the sky fluffed with clouds and the lone trailer on the horizon seemed to come closer.
There were just a couple of people around who seemed to be drinking in the peacefulness and the beauty of the setting sun.
"I'll swim if you swim" Trina all but giggled to Paul as the last of their group reached the cooling sand.
Paul wanted to be with Trina, but he couldn't help but feel a little guilty, as he watched Vic try to build a sand castle all on his own.
Vic was always there for him,no matter how stupid the matter or cause was but all he wanted now was to be Trina.
Like so many times before Paul turned his back to Trina and walked over to Vic, a brilliant plan forming in his mind.
He knew exactly how to turn Trina and Vic, the two most important persons in his life, into good friends.
The soft sand seemed to wrap around them as they laid there laughing, their limbs tangled together like the waves that reached the shore.
His eye were soft and blue like the ocean, i got lost in them as we lay there eye's locked, butterflies in my stomach.....
and i knew at once it was his eyes that would lead me forever, i could see in them the truth and love and hapiness and secrets and honesty and...and...
She look beautiful, as always. The most beautiful girl I've ever met. My Trina..Oh my Trina. When will be the time I will be brave enough to tell you...
But I can't say them yet. I know this world we live in and I know these words...I do! Each one is like a pearl or a stone..each one precious. Each and every one like a part of my heart that is slowly being ripped apart by my silence and hesitation...
'Dad',Vic shouted.'Look my castle is gone',he said and Paul saw tears in his eyes. He came to his senses. The moment with Trina was gone. He thought it will have to wait for another time as he walked and picked up Vic.
Looking into Vic's eyes, Paul noticed how similar they were to his mother's - as serene, as deep as the ocean. There was never a day when Paul didn't think of Eliza.
Eliza was his childhood sweetheart, friend, soulmate and he had never imagined life without her. Vic had been born just a year after their marriage. And then 2 yrs back, just as he was getting used to fatherhood, Eliza was gone.
Paul had completely immersed himself in taking care of Vic. And then Trina entered his life. She was Vic's school teacher and their meetings had gone from official meets for PTA to increasingly unofficial meetings.
Carefully. Hesitantly. Then All at once. Tell his with love care and patience.
As they walked back home, he imagined a future where all three of them were happy and content together. Was it possible? When he looked in Trina's eyes suddenly he felt a ray of hope.

It was almost dusk by the time we reached the beach.
