May-Lynn walked into the forest. She lied down under one of the trees. She closed her eyes. "Ahhhh." She sighed.
Fern ran through the forest in her wolf form, her amber wolf eyes gleaming and cream, tawny fur that jumped out. She was running as fast as she could, nearly a blur to those that see her.
May-Lynn heard someone coming. She stood up and looked to see what it was. A cute wolf came by. "Hey Fern." She said, knowing who the amber eyes and sleek coat belonged to.
Fern abruptly stopped and looked at May-Lynn. She shifted, a young girl with reddish brown ringlets taking the wolf's place. "Hey," She leaned against the tree beside her. "What're you doing here in the forest?"
Marisa sat in a tree looking at her nails, green today. She smiled slightly and hoped she wouldn't be forced to scratch anybody.
May-Lynn sighed, seeing someone sitting in a tree. "Why don;t you come join us?" She called. She looked at Fern. "Shifting has always been so easy. It's like second nature. It was torture when I couldn't shift openly."
Her golden brown eyes gleamed and she grinned. "I'm taking run, it was a habit back home." She shifted back to her big wolf and lied on the ground with her belly facing up. 'It feels nice, being able to shift whenever I want.' She sent the thought towards May-Lynn.
Marisa looked down a d rolled her eyes then smiled sweetly. "I would love to! But can you promise not to make me angry?" She asked, smiling really hurt.
Marisa let out a silent groan. But she jumped down and landed on her feet. She wasn't a people person, but she was bored and had nothing better to do.
Marisa growled. 'I do not appreciate having my mind read, Fern' She thought. She sat down crossleged.
((Sorry, she is really rude at first :\))
((Sorry, she is really rude at first :\))
"Sorry." May-Lynn said quietly. She closed her golden eyes and touched her finger tips to her forehead.
Fern's ears perked up and looked at Marisa quizzically. 'I wasn't, I can only send out what I want to say and hear a thought when it's directed towards me. Unless I do want to read their minds, which I don't.' She said to Marisa and looked at both girls. 'What're your shapes?' She asked inquisitively.
'I did not send you my name' Marisa thought. She shrugged coldly, she didn't like to share anything about her with strangers, heck, she wouldn't even share anything about her with her mother.
"I have a dolphin and horseshoe crab. I have two, one representing my zodiac sign and another one from the same habitat. I only have it because I am an Original." May-Lynn said, trying not to brag.
Marisa raised an eyebrow. A what? She asked herself. She shifted to get herself comfortable.
"One of the Original Shape-shifters. My brother is one as well." May-Lynn sighed. "And my parents." She mumbled.
Fern shifted back and lied with her stomach facing down and elbows supporting her. "How come I've never heard of them until now?"
"They keep to themselves. Because there are so few of them." She sighed. "I don't like to consider my self one of them because it's really..." She trailed off.
Maris kept quiet. She looks around.
Fern decided to lead the conversation to a lighter topic and reached over, nudging May gently. "You don't have to keep going if it makes you sad." She said.
"It doesn't really make me sad. It's just my parents..." She looked at them. "Do you want to here the story?"
"No" Marisa said blankly. She didn't like stories of any kind, at all.
Fern glared warningly at Marisa before turning towards May. "Sure, if you don't mind." She smiled softly.
Marisa rolled her eyes and leaned back against the tree.
May-Lynn returned the smile. She sat down next to Fern. "We were all living together in London, Logan, me, and my parents." She sighed. "I came home from school one day and there were police everywhere. Caution tape was spread all over our house. I tried to go inside but they wouldn't let me. Logan came home and asked me what was going on. I told him I had no idea." May-Lynn looked away. "The police told me that my parents were murdered. They put handcuffs around my wrists and shoved me into their police car." She sighed. "They put me on trial for the murder of my parents." She closed her eyes.
Marisa continued to look bored and looked around. She was sad for May, but God, police were friggin stupid.
"It was torture. Somehow, they found enough evidence to accuse me guilty. They put me away, in a school. A school for criminal kids. That was the worst 3 months of my entire life." She said quietly, shuddering at the memories. "I met someone there, another Shape-shifter. Anais. She helped me escape. When Logan came for me, we were ready. Anais had stolen things from the kitchen and pantry for me." She sighed. "I can never repay her."
Fern hesitated for a moment before hugging her gently, "How can the police do that? Who would ever do such a thing?" Feeling her short temper coming, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Marisa sighed. "Police are stupid" she muttered she couldn't help but scratch a flower angrily. A few minutes layer the flower shriveled up and died.
"We had to travel around the world to find M.E.S.H. It's the Medical and Environmental Shape-shifter Help organization. Logan and I had to temporarily change our shapes to more common animals. Cat and Dog. Prancing around London. He eventually got an apartment for us in his human, me in my cat form. We looked for months to find evidence that I was not guilty. When we finally had enough, he presented it to the court. I don't know how he did it. He got me un-accused. I had to sneak back into the school. That was difficult. Anais helped me and I told her what happened. A few weeks later, I was pulled out." May-Lynn smiled. "Then I came here with Logan and founded SSS. A safe place for our kind."
Marisa picked.the dead flower and crushed the rest of it in her fist.
Marisa raised an eyebrow and shrugged.
