My blog name is Fire and Ice Book Reviews. I love reading a lot of hot romance books. Hints the word Fire. However, I also like to read fantasy, paranormal, etc. books that are mild or cool. So they are Represented as Ice. So that is how I came up with my name!
My blog title comes largely from my internet handle, SKJAM! Pronounced "skah-jam", if you're curious. It's both a shortening of my real name and a tribute to Captain Marvel's magic word "SHAZAM!" It turned out to be a very useful handle because the various email services didn't already have it taken, and once web search became common, skjam was rare enough that my name almost always came up towards the top.So when I finally got around to having a review blog, I just added "Reviews" and "SKJAM! Reviews" was born. Although my handle is a non-intuitive word, once people know how to spell it, it makes for easy searching.
One of the worst book review blog names I can think of is "Book Reviews." No pizzazz, nothing that will make it stick out in a web search. You want to go with something that will a)tell the searcher what sort of books are reviewed or b) be memorable enough that they will click on it just to see what it is or c) tie into your personal brand (which is what mine does.)
I'd not go above five words in a blog title, maybe seven if you have "the" or "and" in there.

I'm actually really terrible at blog names, XD. I spent 2 weeks trying to think of one... and a bobblehead on a game that someone gifted me (Wizard101 specifically) that was named Milos Bookwyrm and I was like, "Yes! That's the perfect name!" (Well, not really. The final one was Bookwyrming Thoughts)Apparently that bobblehead has an honorary place in my virtual dorm, lol.
I choose gwyneiira. I wanted something unique and holds a meaning to me. So "gwyn" is welsh for white, and "eira" means snow. Gwyneiira means white as snow or snow white. As I have a huge obsession for all things snowy and winter. It's a perfect name to me :D

At first I had trouble choosing but then Pills and Pillow-Talk just popped into my head. My day job is medicine (Pills) and my novel One Night at the Jacaranda is about dating (pillow-talk) - and my blog pillsandpillowtalk.com covers both those areas.
The name Soothing Rays came when I posed the question to my family. They asked me what books meant to me and just like that I knew what to call my blog.
The blog name itself is 'Paradise Bound' - a play on 'Paradise Found' combined with what reading means to me. The url itself, the blog is called "booksinaminute.blogspot.com" and that's because people are so crazy busy today I wanted to only write short reviews - literally reviews that could be read in about a minute or so, for people constantly on the go.
My blog name came from the thoughts of lives' problems and lack or awareness...Strange yet true!The URL is zistboon.com which says that 'Zindagi in and stress out!

My blog name is Elley the Book Otter... I go by "Elley" mostly online (my given name is Rochelle), and I guess my two favorite things are otters and books, haha. I had started a book blog a loooong time ago called The Library Dragon, but it was time for a reboot and dragons are so overdone... The world needs more otters. :)
my blog name is Spine Cracker or "Crack your spines". It came about because I became annoyed at the materialism in the book blogging world and bloggers only wanting new books, meaning libraries and second hand shops were suffering. so the name became an act of rebellion and I usually only review second hand or library books. you can check it out here

My blog is Once Upon a Time, I Read a Book. I've actually had the phrase wandering around in my head for a few decades. I grew up visiting an used bookstore nearly every weekend and I fell in love with the idea of owning a used and new bookstore and cafe when I was older because I like the idea of feeding people both mind and body (seriously, when I cook, I feed everybody in the neighbourhood and everybody gets books for gifts), and I was going to name it Once Upon a Time I Read a Book Cafe. I was like 6 or something, it was cheesy, I know. My blog name is Widow Watson. It's based off of a nickname that someone gave me, and like all good nicknames, no one actually remembers where it came from (although my last name is Watson, so there's that). I am currently a mortuary student so I guess that also fits with the goth "lite" vibe. My blogs name is Books with Noel, when I started it I wanted to use my nickname and the name I use on other platforms. I felt more comfortable with it and it was easier for others to say or read. But I also wanted my blog name to be like a discussion about books with someone- like you’re chatting with ‘’Noel’’. So Books With Noel it was!

I love reading about the creativity you all had in creating your names!My blog name - Chisel Book Club - came from the idea that books are the chisel of the mind. They shape who we are as individuals just like a chisel in the hands of a sculptor shapes a carved piece of wood or stone. I also wanted a masculine sounding name since I want the site to encourage men to read: chisel fit the bill on that front as well.

My blog name (Musings of an Arthritic Artist) came from my mother. She had suggested I start a blog earlier this year and I couldn't think of a name. She helped me. Musings comes from thoughts and the fact that I love Greek mythology (musings sounds similar to the Muses), arthritic comes from the fact that I was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at nine months, and artist comes from the career path I chose as a three year old.Here's my introduction post:

Susan and I went a really simple way - she's Canadian, I'm German, so there's a whole ocean between us. Sometimes, the Atlantic is called the big pond in the Englisch language (funnily enough, in German the Atlantic is sometimes referred to as "der große Teich", which is exactly the same title as big pond, just a different language). Our blog is spanning this difference. We're not only building a kind of bridge between continents, we are also building bridges between genres - because naturally, we all have our favourite genres, and that means Susan and me can cover a broad range of genres between us.I am really lucky to have found her here on Goodreads!

In the initial stages, while we were exchanging emails, Bogi suggested Crossing the Pond and I had already checked online for the availability of "Across the Pond" - but another blogger was already using that name. I liked the idea of our book reviews floating across the pond. I tried to convince Bogi to insert the following image into our welcome page carousel, but I suppose it was too much of a sacrilege, seeing books getting soaked in the ocean....?
Maybe one day it will find its way into one of my reviews, because I love this image. (It also brings to mind Hamlet's Ophelia, but even that was a pleasing thought...) And that is how Crossing the Pond was born!
We each bring our own strengths and personalities to this blog and I know that we balance each other out very well. I always enjoy reading your reviews, Bogi. Your blog posts are always entertaining - even downright amusing (especially your last one about the wrestling/bully YA novella review.)

It grew out of my study of belief systems—in philosophy, psychology, mythology, religion, and spirituality—which inspired me to write and illustrate the allegorical graphic novel The War in Heaven. A good name, to me, is short-ish and preferably includes an adjective...also, I would avoid all the overused terms (like "bookworm"...sorry, but there are just too many of them already, and you might get confused with lots of other ones...not to mention, it doesn't really say what you do on your blog).
