When Lucy was young her parents and family were commoners. They weren't royals, nobody had heard of them. Then one day Lucy was going horseback riding in the woods when she saw a man with a beautiful horse. She walked up to the man and asked him about his horse. He was happy to tell Lucy about the horse, but Lucy wondered how he got such a fine horse. Before Lucy could ask where he lived he was gone. When Lucy went home she told her family about the horse and the man on it. Everyday Lucy saw him and always forgot to ask him about where he lived. One day Lucy realized something: She was in love with this man and didn't even know his name. So the next day Lucy asked him his name and where he lived. He said his name was *Insert Carstair duke name* and he pointed to the palace. And like always before Lucy could ask him more he went off to the palace. That night at dinner she told her family that she was in love with a prince. Her family told her that if he really was a prince she had no chance with him and that he was probably going to have an arranged marriage. The next day he wasn't there. So Lucy committed treason: She snuck into the palace and found him. He saw her and took her to the library. They chatted and talked and then Lucy asked him the question: Do you have an arranged marriage? He said no. The next day *Insert Carstair duke name* asked his father if he could marry Lucy. His father said yes. So when Lucy went horseback riding, *Insert Carstair duke name* came and told her his father said they could marry each other. His father approved of her and they were married. All was perfect. Until 2 years later. There was a rebel attack and a rebel killed Lucy's father. Lucy killed the rebel.

[ t ] he youngest of the Carstairs princes, Aquilus is also the most useless, in a sense. He will never inherit anything, nor will he ever rule lands- simply because his judgement is just a twitch faulty. Aquilus has near-to-no independence, despite his age, and whilst he appears to be quite normal, and can hold himself royally and put himself to bed just like everybody else, he has something in his mind that isn't quite right. He can't make the judgement of suspicion. Although a very intelligent boy, Aquilus suffers from william's syndrome, the inability to be, essentially, suspicious of a person or a thing. He trusts far too easily- and, in reality, his family are the only people he can trust. Aquilus is often shepherded away from people by his parents, so he lives in a form of isolation. Despite this, he's very friendly but shy.
[ u ] p until the age of seven, Zander lived a typical life- well, for a prince of his age, anyways. He got along well enough with his siblings, was close to everyone in his family, and was a bright and curious child. But one incident changed everything. Zander had been talking to a footman, who was immersing the little boy into a story full of dragons and brave Knights, and he told Zander to come with him to get some wood from the nearby forest- he could use some help to carry it back, he said. Zander was confused, at first, because footmen don't go out to collect firewood, but he followed him anyway. Had the Kingsguard not taken a path through the forest and heard crying and screaming, the footman would have ended up with a nice purse of gold in his pockets and Zander would have been slaughtered. They strung the footman up for what he did.
[ s ] ince then, Zander was kept away from people after being questioned by a doctor and his parents, and they began to realise there was something about him that wasn't quite right. He could trust anyone or anything within a matter of moments, and nothing about the footman's actions had seemed wrong, up until he stabbed the boy. Zander survived, obviously, but he played on his own and stayed in his chambers for most of the time, and was always accompanied by a guard. It's still difficult for him, and he envies the freedom his siblings receive, whatever freedom even means.
