Evangeline is a curious soul. never the one to just say what she feels she keeps a lot of it inside. She is unlike most girls in the kingdom, those who are dainty and afraid of almost anything, she is a warrior and has been since she was brought to the castle as a young girl. She is never afraid, well, at least she doesn't show it. And she has absolutely no problem telling you when you are out of line. She prefers to be around men, because her personality is more relatable to them. She's loyal to the crown, and those she holds very dear to her heart. Around those she holds dear, she is sweet and kind. Always holding herself high with sophistication and grace, she aims to please and to never let anyone down.

History:

When Evangeline was just a small lass, around the age of 7 or so..her parents were unexpectedly killed. They were traveling to the next village over to trade livestock in the market, however, when they passed through the forest, her parents never made it out.Thieves ambushed them from all around, taking their cart,livestock,horses and most importantly her parents lives. Smiting them were they stood. Lucky for her she was laying in the back of the cart covered under unused potato sacs when they were attacked. But she will never forget the sounds of her parents screaming in terror...and then the silents.She snuck out of the cart and ran in the opposite direction of the thieves, she walked for 3 days and nights before finally stumbling along the castle grounds. She saw a apple tree in the royal gardens, and her stomach was empty. So doing what any 7 year old would do she moved to grab one from the tree. Sneaking past all the guards and managing to climb up the tree, she ate one without being caught. She was so tired from her journey there that she fell asleep up in the tree, only to be found by the guard. Who silently grabbed her and took her into there care. Asking permission from the royal family to keep her, as they were quite impressed about how she even snuck pass the royal guard in the first place, she was taken care of. And at the age of 8 she began learning how to fight and protect the royal family. And here she is 11 years later, still serving.

Marie is descended from Maria Nikolaevna(1899-1987), grand duchess of Russia, who survived the rest of her family. She fled to Harbin, China where, in 1919, she married Prince Yuri Naryshkin (1896-1978), another exiled aristocrat, and had their son, Evgeni (1920-1979), and daughters Natalya (1922-) and Tamara (1926-). Evgeni married Elena Galitzina (1923-2014) in San Francisco and had one son, Andrew (1969-, Marie-Catherine's father. Evgeni worked at a bookstore until his early death from lung cancer in 1979. Elena went on to raise Andrew and his adopted sister Anna. Andrew married Alyssa Sou in 1996 and had Marie-Catherine in 1999, a hundred years after Maria's birth. Marie's position on the staff is as a result of the family's willingness to lodge her family

Natalya and Tamara went to Paris as teenagers to pursue careers with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo. Tamara settled in London after retiring at thirty and married John Harper and had a son, Anthony (1971-). She still teaches children at the Royal Ballet School. Anthony married Hlengiwe Mchunu (1973-) in 1998, having one daughter, Elizabeth (2001-, in Warrior Princess Academy), and a son, Edward (2004-). Natalya, meanwhile, met Estonian refugee Albert Kelam in New York, where they had two children, Helena, and Anne.
