"Bye, mum!" Lena protested, dodging yet another kiss from her slightly emotional mother.

"Yeah, mum," her older brother, Alex moaned in agreement. "You're making a scene. It's her first day of Wizardy school." He sighed, waving his hands in a stereotypical, spell-casting gesture. "So what? Bye mum, dad, I'm going to find my friends."

Lena scowled, knowing what that was supposed to have been. A stark reminder that she didn't have friends. Not wizarding ones. Not yet. After another few minutes, Lena managed to detach herself from her parents and slip away, waving and lugging her trunk after her.

"Bye!" She yelled over her shoulder. She looked around, searching for someone around her age to talk to and possibly sit with on the train. It was going to be a long and boring journey if she was alone.

Lena's mother smiled and waved after her, and Lena grinned, flashing one last smile before disappearing into the crowd. Her parents weren't worried about her, not really. She was going to get into a world of trouble, they knew, and expected a hoarse of owls discussing her bad behaviour. Her mother sighed at the thought. But Lena was a confident, intelligent girl and they knew she would make friends soon enough.

Lena heaved her trunk over the step into the train, with some assistance from a prefect, and, after thanking the older boy, clambered after it into the train.

Bea cast an anxious look around the muggle platform. She looked back over her shoulder to watch her parents drive off. She shook her head and turned back around to see if she could find Platform 9/4. Her eyes wandered until she found platform nine and ten, but no 9 3/4. Bea was just about to give up and leave when she watched an older boy with an owl look around, then run into a wall. Without hesitation, Bea ran over to the wall with her trolley, but the boy was gone. Strange. She thought to herself. Her fingers then ran along the course of the wall. But they didn't just run along the wall, they went into the wall. A look of astonishment crossed over Bea's face. She placed her foot along the edge of the wall, it went in as well. Finally, she decided that this must be the entrance to the platform. Swiveling her head around to make sure no muggle was looking, she quietly pushed her trolley through the wall. She held her nreath and kept her eyes shut. After a few minutes, she had emerged on the other side of thee barrier, on Platform 9 3/4.

Both Richard and Kit Lotus stood just beyond the entrance to Platform 9 3/4. They had both agreed that it would be better to leave before Kit's mother woke up.

"Make sure to write," Richard told his daughter, "Often. Or your mother will drive us both up the wall."

"I will," Kit promised, hugging him tightly, "I just really hope this is as exciting as you've made it seem in your stories."

"Every bit." Richard winked and stepped back through the barrier, leaving Kit to push her trolley forward through the rowdy crowd.

It took several minutes for her to make it up to the side of the train, where she lifted Button's cage with little effort. Her trunk proved to be more difficult, however. Eventually, she managed to prop it up on the step and pushed to move it the rest of the way onto the train. Kit jumped up after it, eager to explore the Hogwarts Express.

Simon waved goodbye to his parents and his three siblings sadly. Dean, his older brother, quickly ran back to Simon and ruffled his hair with a wicked smile. "Don't forget to write Mr. Wizard." He said. Simon chuckled at his brother's joke. Dean walked back to the family car where Simon's sisters and parents waited. "Bye! See you at Christmas!" Simon called to them. He pushed his trolley to into the station. He looked around i awe. He always used to use this train-station to go on school trip, and all this time this station held the entrance to the wizarding world. "Weird" He sighed and looked for the platform 9 3/4. He looked confused. There was platform nine and ten. He blinked and rubbed his eyes. Had this all been a prank. His heart felt heavy with sadness.

In the corner of Simon's eye he saw a bunch of people vanish threw a wall. His eyes widened, he followed them. Looking around the brick wall twice, he didn't see them. He shook his head in annoyance. Sighing he leaned against the wall and stumbled through it along with his trolley. He stumbled then looked around wildly. A long black train caught his eye, with the title of Hogwarts Express. Simon couldn't help but grin. He got his luggage on the train with difficulty. The bird cage with his owl, Dusty, he wanted to keep with him. Simon got on the train and walked around looking for a free compartment, finding one he sat down along with his backpack where he kept his school robes just in case. He sat by the window and looked outside with a happy expression

Rosalind kissed her mum goodbye, tears in both of their eyes. She hugged her sisters, kissing them too. Rose had already said goodbye to her father, and was fine with that. She hugged her brother, trying to kiss him but ended up failing. She kissed her mum one last time, and she shoved her trunk and owl onto the Hogwarts Express, a beautiful scarlet train.

Rosalind turned around, looking at her mother. "Be back for Christmas?" she said, more of a question than a statement. Her mum nodded, and Rose turned around, tears in her eyes. "Buy Rosie!!!" her eldest sister called. Rose whipped a smile tear from her eye and shoved her trunk forward, her snowy owl Iris hooting in distaste of the sudden jerky movement.

Bea stood in astonishment as she took in everything. It was all so big and...magical. A smile slowly began to curl onto her face. After standing in the way of the barrier for several minutes, and getting several horrid looks for doing so, she finally began to push her trolley forwards. Bea worked her way through the mass crowds and found a doorway. With much effort, she loaded her trolley onto the train and into the luggage car. She then set off to find n open compartment.

Marlene hugged her parents, "I'll write I promise. Yes, I love you too Mum. Bye Dad, Bye Will." She ruffled her little brother's hair, "Be a helpful little boy now."

She took a deep breath and stepped up onto the train, holding her owl's cage tightly.
