I just made three cheese ravioli with homemade alfredo sauce. It was my first attempt and I took my husband's advice and added more salt. It was yummy but I like it with less salt. I used a really aged parmesean cheese. I think that thing was like 2 years old. It was on point. We had a fresh green salad with it.
hubby bought us a steak to share it's big so we can get a decent serving probably brocoli and clauliflower mix and a baked spud.
sounds good thomma --we had a late lunch sowe just snacked I had cheese and crackers and raw veggies
Tonight I'm trying a new Chinese recipe called Beef And Green Beans. It dry-fries the beans as a way of cooking them, rather than steaming or boiling. According to the recipe, this adds a distinctive flavour to the beans. I'll let you know.
Mmm, sounds interestingly good, Petra! Please do let us know how it turns out...
I'm going for fish and chips tonight...I miss the seafood in NS, even though it is good here in BC.

went out for dinner on way home from brother in laws --fave restaurant in Lindsay called Neabors-excellent prime rib and yorkshire at a decent price
The Beef And Beans were really good. Dry-frying the beans does cook them and give them a lightly charred look. I froze enough for another meal. Tonight we're having pasta salad....a nice, cool meal on a hot day.
Wednesday - 29 July - Puerto Rican Shrimp and Rice - recipe can be found at Kraftfoods.com. It's quick, easy and allows me to clean out the groceries to allow room for more.
" - What's for dinner, baby?- Umm, I don't know yet. Let's see what we've got in the fridge..
That’s usually how the whole creative process of cooking begins in our house. I dive into the refrigerator, then poke my head in the pantry, sniff around, scratch my forehead, wiggle my mouth back and forth, and then I hear the wheels turning – my mind is brewing a dinner menu."
