Coutnie, Joe would be an excellent lunch date! I think I would choose The King. If it wasn't for him, I would have lost interest in reading at 12 years old. Another good one would be Donna Tartt. I adore her and she is so facinating!

I've not read a Donna Tartt book before. I'll have to give her a go - any particular recommendation?
We could combine my lunch date with yours and get the best of all worlds! My husband credits King with his love affair with reading too. I myself got hooked by Koontz at a young age, which I'd argue was less appropriate than King as his edge is a little more...uh, edgy. As an adult, I prefer King.

However, I'd have to say I want lunch with Oscar Wilde... at a library convention. The level of snarky sarcasm would be over-the-top and just plain fun.
Also, with Victoria Alexander (I bought her lunch) and none other than Raine O'Tierney (I have even bought her lunch). :)
