I mean, I did say it's based off the series, which would mean I'd go by the rules and what typically happens in the "real" selections. Otherwise this would just be a bachelor thread. I can discuss with the other moderator if you really want, but I'm not going to base the rules off someone else's RP. And I've done another RP before and not a single 6,7, or 8 made it very far.

And he does not always react maturely to being told what to do or when given advice. He likes to laugh and have a good time and does not take his responsibilities as prince that seriously yet. Though he is good at giving the proper persona of a prince.

Xander is furious that they aren’t even giving her the opportunity to find love. He’s gotten tired of playing the role of the perfect prince. At night he has been frequently sneaking out and hanging out in the gardens or on the roof. This is the only time he can relax and just do whatever he wants.

She despised tea and crumpets and taught Rowan how to make a good grilled cheese sandwich. But as she got older and adapted to her life at the palace, she lost some of her youthful spirit but still maintains some of her spark. She is a lovely woman who will always quietly arrange the flowers, and plan the parties (but making sure the entertainment is top notch!)and stay by her husbands side no matter what.

History: Being a 5 at heart, Laylah needed music in her life. She found a small piano in her room on her first night in the Selection and later on, Rowan gave her a music player. She and Rowan would constantly dance and laugh in her room and this continued after she had been the One. She now sees her wild side in Xander every time he leaves the palace and goes God knows where. She never bothers him though because she knows that she did similar things when she was younger. She constantly helps Rowan with diplomatic decisions and loves hosting great parties.

Since the 'famous' gene has been past down through generation to generation, their family has developed a specific image. That they are the most elegant family in all of Illea. Because of this all her moves are watched by the public, and their family has a lot of buried secrets, and if any problems arise they are quick to silence it. Her family lives off of their name; Mead. The last thing they need is bad publicity, any negative kind. Miriam also has to be careful in what she wears (must be classy, and high priced), who she surrounds herself by (Must be rich, titled, royalty or famous), what she says, what she does, and basically everything. She isn't allowed to be herself, and is forced to pretend she is something she isn't just so her family can maintain their so called 'image' for future generations.

He was the second child, being the younger brother of Greg. His father went insane and eventually ended up killing Nate’s mother. He took his two sons with him, where they tried to stay hidden. But Greg's paranoia caught up to him and he ended up killing himself, and leaving his children by themselves. Only a couple years out of schooling, Nate joined the army. His base was destroyed by the enemy and he was forced to watch his fried die, and feeling that it was him fault. He was never the same and blamed himself for his all the lives he couldn’t save that night. It still haunts him, and he can really sleep because of his nightmares. He was then later asked to been the body guard of the prince, and he was quick to take the offer. He still has war flash backs that keep him from sleeping. He is usually on sleeping pills to try and get through most nights.

She was young looking, but you could till by the wrinkles that crowded her eyes, and bunched together on her forehead; that she wasn’t as young as her clear, smooth skin appeared to be. She leaned towards her patient, resting her elbows upon her knees, “Mr. Reelane. Tell me please, what do you see when you close your eyes.”

He fidgeted uncomfortably in his seat, as his eyes flickered down onto the paper she had been dotting notes on, trying to read the messy handwriting upside down. But of course, failing. He ran a hand through his shaggy brown hair, as he let out a deep sigh, leaning back on the comfy black leather arm chair. His sun tanned arms resting on the arm rests and his fingers gripping the sides; urgently. He gave her a nonchalant shrug before stating, bluntly, “Nothing.”

Her worrisome eyes searched for his, “This will only work, Nate, if you tell me the truth.”

“I have nothing to tell you,” Nate responded, in a matter-of-fact tone. It wouldn’t take a genius to realize that he was lying, no matter how hard he tried to hid it; he couldn’t. His face put his problems on display. The bags under his eyes where huge,almost the darkest shade of purple possible, his blue eyes were blood shocked, his skin paler than usual; all of this were products of his sleepless nights.

“What’s keeping you from sleeping?” She asked as she continued to write something down, but he once again couldn’t understand what she had written. He didn’t move his mouth to speak, “You’ve returned from the war for almost three months now. It may take you a lot longer to get use to the world around you. This is completely normal.”

“I see death, and destruction,” Nate responded as his eyes flickered away from lady in front of him, finally deciding to answer her question.

“This is not unusual. Paint me a picture of what you see,” the therapist asked, as his eyes where still scanning his surrounding, trying not to look at her. He didn’t want to show her how weak he was. Quickly, he cleared his throat.

“A bomb had just went off where my unit was station,” Nate squeezed his eyes shut, trying to stop his tears, focusing his energy on the event, “My friend had been struck by some debris from the area that the bomb exploded. I’m holding him in my arms, and I watched as the…….the life disappears from his eyes.”

“Do you feel as if it is your fault your friend is dead?” She stated calmly, as she continued to dot a few more lines down. It made him uncomfortable that everything that he stated would be recorded. He didn’t like others being in his head.

“I wonder why it wasn’t me. He had a family, a daughter,” He answered as his rough hand ran against his little scruff that had a accumulated around the bottom half of his face, signalling that he should shave his beard soon.

“You feel like you weren’t worthy of survival,” she pondered as all he could do was responded with a quick, but uncomfortable nod.

Personality: Esmeralda treats others like she is treated by them, she is short tempered and sometimes aggressive depending if she dislikes this person or not. Gets her intelligence from her love for reading and writing, she's exceptional at archery and daggers since she was taught by her mother. Extremely loyal and protective of her loved ones and will sometimes judge a person before actually knowing them and accuse someone of something without actual evidence and vengeful — like her deceased father. Can't stand ungrateful and extremely conceited people, she'll always be rude and offending to them. Is musical at times and loves sketching but is sometimes too lazy to do it. Would've been a 3 if not for her father's betrayal to the King, joining the Northerners, and forced to be a 6 while he was an 8, starting her infant years. Her mother was still madly in love with her father despite after all that he caused, though when he left her heartbroken when he left them to marry a younger woman thus making Esmeralda watch her mother suffer emotionally. Years past by, she began growing up to be a stunning woman with her rare natural curls, exotic appearance, and intelligence. Many admirers came up the doors, in which her mother rejected all whilst Fern not knowing it. At the age of fourteen she has had quite a few boyfriends by then found her first love with a 3 at the time of being one of his family's housekeepers. His mother disapproves of getting married to someone lower than a 4, making them unable to ever marry with her knowing. Her mother never knew. She and him broke up after hearing her named being called to the Selection and promised to marry once she got sent back home and of age.

Personality: She’s a floater. This means she can get along with different types of people; she doesn’t have one group of friends but rather several. Can be occasionally sarcastic, but not in a mean way. At least she doesn’t intend it to be, but sometimes people misunderstand her.

Parents: Are both Threes and own an apothecary shop. They typically serve the lower castles of threes, fours, and fives. Rarely sixes. Sevens and eights cannot afford them. On occasion they may help children in the lower castes, but never adults. 

History: Grew up in a privileged area with twos and threes. She doesn’t hang out with people that are in lower castes and was taught to think less of them. This doesn’t mean she isn’t a nice person, it’s just the way she was raised. She dislikes people who can’t accept their circumstances. Marigold will talk to people in lower castes, but mostly because she’s curious. She can’t decide if she dislikes lower castes or not. Most of the time she just can’t be bothered with them. History: Began modeling at a young age, and was forced to continue. She never knew life outside and when she finally learned she was devastated. Dirty people walking around with many children, and stomachs growling everywhere. She soon learned that she had a liking for taking and giving. she walked around with a key pick in her pocket and a pocket knife. She lives to get in arguments, which is one of her favorite things to do.

History: Father died in a war and mother died in a construction accident. They were given a small amount of money, as if that could make up for their loss. The older brothers decided to be soldiers because they had a better chance of survival. Jason and Noah weren’t built to be soldiers and had better luck buying themselves up the castes. However, they had to provide for Serena as well so it’s taking time for them to move up. They were recently robbed by 8’s and lost all their money. Her brothers Jason and Noah signed her up for the selection in hopes that the family’s rank would move up. They are very broke, and this is the last chance for their family to survive.
