One of the Best, most life changing books I have ever read!! so poetic and beautifully written and so challenging at the same time- I was just wanting to read it again (this will be my 3rd time- it's THAT good and that deep you almost need to!) so I'm all in for picking it back up! Do any of you ladies read ann voskamps blog? It's so encouraging and inspiring to me!It's aholyexperience.com and she often has free print outs and reading/writing prompts etc to encourage us all to "keep counting our gifts!" :)

I've never read her blog, but now that you've suggested it and given us the link to it, I'm going to go check it out.
After reading your post, I am very excited about reading this book.

This book is a great read from the beginning. I haven't finished it yet, but I am really enjoying it. She brings up some really challenging questions that I think we all ask ourselves sometimes.
What do you think of it so far?

Although I was enjoying the book, I began to get a bit sad while reading it. I am no longer enjoying it, but I'm trying to push through it because I am thinking and hoping that it will get better soon.
I'm sorry it's making you sad... :( I think I know what you mean, it touches on so many deep, deep levels of the heart and Ann touches on so many subjects that are just plain hard to wrestle with... in the end, ALL really is grace, and the ending reflects this. Have you journaled your "gifts" while reading? The first time I read it, I didn't and things were so heavy for my heart to bare that I almost couldn't finish. The second time, I began everyday writing my "gifts" down... I was blessed and blown away by how God worked in my heart- grace became not just a concept to me anymore but a real tangible thing I could see and praise my savior for! It was my same life when I read the second time, just was able to see things through a new lens. Just a suggestion, maybe write the ways as you go?... Hoping it blesses your heart.
I have only read positive reviews of the book, so I will continue to read it, but I had to stop for a while and take a small break.. Hopefully when I pick it back up it, it will be different.
