Okay, so I sent everyone a message... post your feelings here.

I feel that it is a good idea. I know I don't feel qualified to judge people's work. I don't feel like my personal opinion should be the do-all and end-all of whether someone wins or not. If we voted, everyone would be able to give their opinion. It would mean more to win from a group effort (it would me anyway). There would be a lot less bias. It would work even if there was only two. I have had cases in other groups where that has worked nicely. If there is a tie with three or more stories, have a tiebreaker vote. This can work. I know it can. It is a lot fairer than judging. Please consider it.Randi
I think it's fine the way it is. But I think letting the group vote would be fine too. I belong to another group like this here on GoodReads and that's how they do it and it works. I'll try to think more on it.
I like it the way it is too, but I think in all fairness, we should try other ideas also. So I'm willing to give this a go.
Alright, everyone, here's the deal:This contest, Aug. 23rd-29th, will be the LAST one judge contest (for now). Then, we'll do three contests where everyone votes.
After that, everyone can decide on which system to stick to.
Everybody cool with that?
Oh, and as motivation, since winners no longer get to judge, I've come up with a special surprise. But I'm not telling... you'll just have to wait and see!
This surprise is good for this contest, since the winner won't get to judge, the winners of the next three contests where everyone votes, and potentially every winner after that, depending on what we decide.
