I added a poll to the group! (It appears to show up at the bottom of the home page)

I am going to try and come up with a new poll monthly just for the fun of it.

Please vote when you can.

There is another poll out there until the end of August - feel free to vote when you get a chance!

Vicki Willis I can't see the new poll? Is it the one about how you like to read?

yes - that's the one. If you are accessing on a mobile device you can't see it (Goodreads mobile is not all that great when it comes to the group pages).

I mentioned this in my last email to the group, but in case you didn't see it, there is a new poll on the group homepage (very bottom) that will be active through the end of April.

The question is about the books we read in 2014 and which was your favorite or which you would like to read books that are similar. (wow - for some reason the previous sentence was really hard to construct and I am still not sure it is grammatically correct - but I home you get what I mean!)

Greeting! A new poll has been added to the Book-A-Book page. It will be available for voting and comments until the end of June.

How many book clubs are you in?

Thanks to all for voting in the true crime poll! It has been very helpful and I think I am getting it narrowed down to a title that looks like it will please most and no one in the group has read yet!

Feel free to still vote if you would like to share your opinion - the poll will be open through the reveal:

Please vote in my first ever "Throwback Poll". This is the same as the very first poll the group did back when we only had about 10 members. Now that we have close to 70, I wanted to see what type of book would most likely be your next one based on your usual reading trends.

Throwback Poll: Genre

Thanks in advance for participating!

East of Eden was definitely the overall favorite of 2017. The Nightingale and A Man Called Ove were not too far behind.

Only 5 books got votes for favorites read last year and it looks like there was a pretty good consensus on A Thousand Splendid Suns and Foundryside. Hopefully we read more great books together in 2020!

Which did you vote for?

I could have also voted for A Thousand Splendid Suns, but that was a reread for me and Cat was new.

I voted for Hell - it was such a terrifyingly pleasant surprise! Foundryside, Cat, and Suns were pretty close, too!
