Doctor Who Book Club - Traveling the Vortex discussion

I had a request to create a place where people can come and chat about off-topic things, so that's what this is! Feel free to start random tangents and conversations within the "Waffling in the Vortex" sub-thread. Whether you want to discuss movies, other books you're reading, or even rain gutters (see Glenn for that one) - here's where you go!

It wouldn't be Traveling the Vortex without a place for tangenting, now would it?

Does Doctor Who encourage tangents? TTV is one of my favourite pods dues to the tangents and the comedy moments they bring. But I noticed recently, on the pod I do with my children, that as soon as the good Doctor is mentioned whoooosh off they go on mega tangents.

It seems Who sparks the imagination so much.
