Anzac Day, is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served." On the 25th of April every year people gather for morning services, and pay their respects for those who fought in the war. This is a day for people to be reverent and honouring to those who have sacrificed so much for their country.
ANZAC, stands for: Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, these soldiers were known as Anzacs. Anzac Day, remains one of the most important national occasions of both Australia and New Zealand, a rare instance of two sovereign countries not only sharing the same remembrance day, but making reference to both countries in its name.
This is a short summery about Anzac day I just wrote, of course, this is only in a nutshell.
