It's funny people who have read it have said positive things, but there's such a mix of feelings for it's debut.
does this have supernatural creatures. Is elvis a crossover character? I know this is expensive probably like 30 dollars. Would love to know what everyone thinks.
Oh, for some reason I didn't think this had anything today with that Universe. I shall avoid it encase of spoilers. (Although someone already spoiled the Sookie books. *sighs*)
yeah Im pretty spoiled on sookie as well. I guess when a series is that long and has a show that has about what 7 seasons we were bound to get spoiled sooner rather than later. lol.I'm about to head over to that thread so that I can talk about how annoying she is as I read book 3.
Actually I avoided the who when it started to catch up to me. Someone actually went out of their way to tell me how it all ended in the books.
being how much sookie gets on my nerves I'm tempted to look and see if she dies in the end. :) but I won't look ...yet.

I just assumed it was another murder mystery of hers. Didn't even consider supernatural. I should really read what these are about, but some times that in and of itself can spoil a few things.
Ok, just starting this one. I'm not sure how it'll be, but the first 3 paragraphs are boring me.
I just finished this last night. It is paranormal but does not seem to be in a world that openly acknowledges the existence of paranormal. (So not Sookie's world) It is a small town (13 people) and at last 3 of the characters originate from other Charlaine Harris series. It may be brilliant for marketing, because if you have read a book from any of her series, this could be considered a spin off. We have Manfred from Harper Connley, Bobo from Lilly Bard, and Arthur Smith from Aurora Teagarden (I suspect more of them are from the other books and I just don't remember them). To me, this reminds me of the Sookie book where it was just a string of cameos with no plot.
This is a murder mystery though there wasn't much mystery to it. All of the residents hide their backgrounds and wanting to know their secrets was the only thing that kept me interested.
Colleen sums it up great Heather. I finished it last night and over all found it a bit boring. Will I read another, if there is one, in the series, probably, but I consider it filler, not great rush to get to it.
It's been so long since those other series. Was the new Armstrong better than this? Sea of Shadows?
