Hayden frowned at the hammock. He had finally found a book, and a place that had great lighting. Now he just had to sit down.. Should he just jump in?
Ianthe wandered into the first level of the library. She looked around for the art books. Walking passed the hammock, she paused and said, "wait, why is there a hammock here?" She hadn't noticed the guy standing there yet.
"Maybe because they want you to read their book on how in the world to get into these things. I'm guessing it involves a crane and pulley system. Climbing into it doesn't work, you get a bumb on your head." Hayden answered her question not really caring if it was directed at him or someone else.
Ianthe laughed, so her mood was good today. Perhaps were it another day or during one of her mood swings, she'd have said, who was talking to you? But right now, she was in a good mood. "Well then we should get a crane and pulley system in so that someone can use it."
"I have this feeling they wouldn't like the noise in a library." Hayden smiled at her, "Librarians seem to be very picky about noise."
"Oh tell me about it, just for talking, they'd kick you out, and not even when one is being loud," she said wrinkling her nose in disatisfaction.
"Well, to be fair they do give you one or two warnings first. But they give you this look like you just killed somebody." Hayden made a pretend look of horror.
"I don't ever remember getting warnings," she said, though when she thought about it, it was when she was in her maniac periods that the incidents had happened. Being bipolar sure wasn't easy...
"Maybe they were having a bad day. You wouldn't believe the kinds of people they have to deal with every day. I saw this one guy, huge as a house, getting into an argument with some librarian about why they didn't offer chairs his size or something. I wasn't really paying attention as i was following suite with the crowd and clearing the area." Hayden's eyes unfocused for a second as he spoke.
She laughed at that, imagining the scene. She wasn't sure if she felt sorry for the big guy or for the librarian? "Oh, something big was going to happen?"
"Naw, librarians are experts at getting people to calm down. It took about five minutes before the big guy was leaving with a couple books in his hands." Jayden smiled at the thought.
Ianthe raised a brow, "I see, they are very capable people. Though I would never like to be one," she pointed to herself, "I don't have much people skills, nor the patience and endurance to focus for long periods."
"Well you got through a conversation with me without any problems. Might be the people you talk to just don't mesh with your personality." Hayden shrugged, "Could also be that we humans tend to see only the worst in ourselves."
"You know...you're probably right, I'm Ianthe, by the way," she said holding out her hand and smiling. She was genuinely happy right now.
((Kk, cya next time ^.^))"Nice to meet you Hayden," she said. Not only was she in a good mood, she was also feeling very polite.
"Sooooo, did you find any good books?" Hayden motioned vaguely at the library around him, "Or did you come here to meet somebody?"
Ianthe shrugged, "actually, to be honest, I forgot why I came here." She looked around, "it may have been to get books, or it may have been to run away from someone, or it may have been to meet someone. Don't think it's the latter though...."
