Mental disorders... Pssh... The way I see it, it's just more so a personality, but some smarty with nothing better to do with their lives decided to label these things and say they're a "disorder".

People under 21 aren't supposed to legally diagnosed with any mental disorder, at least where I live... Even though the brain isn't fully developed until the average age of 25.

I don't know if it's all of the US, but where I live. People tried saying I have ADHD too, Cait. Well, not officially say it, but medicate me for it. Yeah, it didn't work out. I lost weight, but of course, knowing me, I gained it all back. It's just my personality too.

wow never heard of it
you would think with so many medical advances they would've thought of a better way to diagnose ADHD

I think it was just a try, and if it didn't work, then... Plus, it's more hard to diagnose stuff on kids, because we're still growing and the chemical balances in the brain continue to change...
I was never told by a doctor or anything and if I ever was and if they tried to give me some medication they could take that and yea.. Cause I wouldn't take it.Just cause I have an awful attention span doesn't mean anything.
I know, right Cait?!? Just because I like watching squirrels and think random things at time, or random to you, doesn't mean I'm ADHD...

Exactly. So what I can't stay still. So what I say whatever pops into my head more than half the time. So what if I jump from topic to topic because Im thinking of about five things at once.

What if I change moods quickly? So, one second I'm happy and the next I'm being incredibly rude for no reason. Does that mean I have a disorder? I don't think it does…I might have OCD, but then again, I could just be a perfectionist.
For instance, if something is not symmetrical, I sort of freak out (I'm not symmetrical, which makes me incredibly mad). Everything must be perfect - drawings, how I write, how I make my bed, everything. That might mean I have OCD, but I'm not entirely sure.

Exactly. And those stupid quizzes you can take online? I always score that I have it. Doesn't mean anything

I know, but I wish I was. Unfortunately, my sister's room is currently unsymmetrical and it's driving me nuts. And my room as well. And my parents' room. Every single room in this house is unsymmetrical and it makes me want to sob.
But thank you, that makes me feel incredibly better (okay, it just makes me feel a tiny but better),

I tried those quizzes too, and every single one of them had different answers, so I gave up.

One said I have OCD, another said I'm bipolar, and then another quiz gave a bunch of results and I had no idea what those results meant - I remember that schizophrenia was on there somewhere, which is very strange because I know I'm not schizophrenic.

Oh, quizzes online. Just look up quizzes for mental disorders and a bunch pop up. I took a bunch and they sucked, so I decided that these quizzes were useless.
Well, I liked one of them. It actually made a lot of sense. But I don't remember the results.

ADAH? Cool, what's that?
Well, I know for certain I have a phobia. Not a mental disorder, though, I think. I have nyctophobia (fear of the dark). Even when I was a baby, I automatically cried when the lights went out because I was terrified of the dark.

ADHD? Is that what you mean? I think my sister might have it.
I have a bad feeling I'm OCD. One of my friends might be too. When she saw that a lunch table was slightly tilted, she had to stop and try to move it do it was perfectly aligned.

Oh, it's not good in my family. If you have OCD in my family, you'll have a heart attack. NOTHING IS PERFECT AND IT DRIVES ME NUTS! Other than that, it's all right.

Isn't that schizophrenia? I saw this video about this lady who had schizophrenia. One time she acted like a regular adult woman, and the next she was acting like a little 6 year old girl. And then she was acting like a teen. It was kind of strange. Her kids just played along with it.

Schizophrenia is when you see things that aren't really there or hear voices in your head.
Wait, I may be confused.
Yeah, I was confused. The lady had multi personality disorder, not schizophrenia.
Are you like that?

Um... A bit. But I don't think I have that. I probably have depression. I know I have mood problems, but...
