Ghost in the Stacks Janus was the porter of heaven. He opens the year, the first month being named after him. He was the guardian deity of gates, on which account he was commonly represented with two heads, because every door looks two ways.
He was the God of Doors and Gates, and he is here to offer you your next quest.
You must pick one of his doors, which do you take?

A.The Red Door
B. The Blue Door
C. The Pink Door

Sheila (sheilaj) Quest 6 from Wacky/Atropos I chose

I picked B. The Blue Door and read

You Don't Want To Know by Lisa Jackson You Don't Want To Know by Lisa Jackson finished 4/14 ★★★★★ ✔

This was truly a story that kept me guessing as to who is up to what. The main character has suffered a horrible loss and has been under treatment for mental illness but the cast of characters around her all seem a bit off as well. The setting is pretty spooky as well on an isolated island where the mental hospital sits abandoned, or does it? Love, love, love Lisa Jackson's books

This book was mentioned in the What are you reading thread in Women of Mystery by Betsy.

Beth Roberts | 15 comments I picked (b) The Blue Door, because I think it is the prettiest and also, blue is my favorite color. So, I am staying here at All Challenges All The Time, which is also where I will be posting my completed Quest #5 later on today.

However, I have already picked the book for Quest #6, because I believe in being prepared!

The book is mentioned in the "What Are You Reading Now" heading under "Book Chat", message 42 by Diane.

I will be reading Significance (Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane which was mentioned by Trisha in What Are You Reading Now in this group in this post.

Finished 2/8/15 and 3♥

I found the book reminded me a lot of the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout, but I did enjoy it.

I chose The Blue Door bringing myself here to Clotho

This book was mention in the "What Are You Reading" Thread in Wacky Reading Challenges by Anita

My Pick
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling

Read: (2/20)
Rating: ★★★★★

Review:
Oh wow totally forgot about the Death Date Party! Love the little things in this book. Harry's fears about his real place in the houses adds a nice color to this. I love that the friendships between the core group are strengthened so much in this story. Harry and Ron make mistakes, but they are going to be there for each other no matter what. The face some pretty scary things for how young they are, but are always game for the challenge. :)

Sophie (drsophie) going to read And Then There Were None from this group in the What Are You Reading Thread.

Just finished it - fantastic book. Couldn't work out how it had been done until I read the epilogue which explains it!

I came from Wacky Reading Challenges and picked the blue door to come here.

I'm going to read Bird Box by Josh Malerman , mentioned by Jan in message 2710 of WRC.

Bird Box by Josh Malerman, 272 pgs/GR

Rating: 4
Read: 3/23/15

Review:
I was leery about reading this. I was actually expecting something like Hitchcock's 'The Birds'. At least they can see the threat coming at them. This definitely not for folks who have to know everything at the end. I'm still trying to figure out just what's out there. I'm ready to open my eyes and look just so I can figure out the mystery. Even with not having a definitive answer, I enjoyed this story.

Mr. Malerman does an excellent job with suspense. If this were turned into a movie, it'd be on par with the Japanese horror films. There's so much buildup you might end up scaring yourself worse than the monsters do.

I finished this on the 12th. Rated it five stars. I read it in one sitting because I didn't want to put it down, it was a really heartwarming, easy read. Recommended if you haven't read it yet :)

I am going to read The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman mention here

Northern Lights (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman Finished 10/05/15. I rated this 5 stars

This book was recommended to me by a friend a couple of years ago after watching the film but I only managed to get hold of a copy a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed this book and the various sub-plots going through. I love the way the author plays out the science vs religion aspect of the book and the fear this brings about. Can't wait to read the next installment.
