Hi MichaelAlthough I am in no way an expert on poetry, I really liked reading your poem, and I thought I'd let you know :)

Sometimes the days fade faster than I'd like
When you feel you have the world at our fingertips
Holding onto it with such a firm graps that the blood runs away
Sometimes the nights last longer than I'd like
Where your subconscious takes over every waking moment of sleep
Bringing nightmares and paradise swinging on hinges knowing this isn't going to help waking to reality
Time does not exist, time does not stop nor does it move
It is merely there, hoping you believe in it enough that it goes by fast
Or slow, a trickery of thought grasping at straws only so we can feel ourself grow
Ever so old, young being a way to manipulate how much it can get away from you
Time
I never thought it right to believe in dreams, in hope
It was just another way to fall hard into the ground, six feet past it
When it fails, when you fail, when everyone else fails
But as i sit here, hope is all i have and i hate it
Because i know for a fact i won't be six feet down
But i don't know if i will fall or not
The dead sleep soundly
How lucky, how sweet
The living toss and turn
Always unsure, always awake
Our minds refuse to shut off
Our eyes refuse to stop seeing
Our ears continue to hear
Our hearts continue to beat
The dead sleep soundly
How lucky, how sweet
