I want my dog to have puppies. But do you think after all the time and money spent, it's worth it?

Also, there are so many puppies, kittens, dogs and cats in animal shelters needing homes--why breed?

Did anyone catch Oprah's show on Puppy Mills and the horrors many of the dogs live in--their entire lives? Never leaving their filthy cages that are made for rabbits and stacked on top of each other (and all the gross stuff that you imagine with cleanliness!).

They spend their entire lives in a rabbit cage, breeding and having puppies, and never set one paw on the ground.

They go from a living creature to a commodity to be bought and sold.

Heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I know that the animals we have adopted out of shelters have turned out to be the most lovable, eager to please, and a pure joy to have around. I believe "they know" what they were rescued from.

Yeah, I agree with you! they are truly tortured and I am disgusted to see anything on it! You're right, it is desperatly heart-breaking!
