I'm reading Kendra by Coe Booth among others. I've been reading/skimming a number of Street Lit books for a web presentation I'm doing in a couple weeks. Any recommendations for YA Urban fiction welcome.
Still reading Street Lit? Have a fave to recommend to the rest of us readers?

So, I started reading Vampire Academy over the weekend. I actually really like it! It's very visual and easy to follow, kind of reads like a movie, and is a little serious and a little fluffy at the same time. I think it's going to be a fun book.
Anyone else read it?

I just read The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury (thanks to Eden) and it was fantastic- I loved her unique story line in retelling Aladdin.
Also in fantasy/retellings, I am reading Unthinkable by Nancy Werlin. And in realistic fiction I'm reading Colleen Clayton's What Happens Next, and Pratima Cranse's All the Major Constellations.

All the Major Constellations looks great! I've been seeing a lot of buzz about that one :)

I think you'll love it! I attempted to listen to the audiobook, but....it just wasn't exciting enough for me right away :D I have such a short attention span! But I think because you love Cinda Williams Chima that you will like Graceling :)

I had to give up on it for now. I can't concentrate enough for a fantasy novel. I've moved on to Other Broken things, by C.Desir for now.
I just started reading that last week!! It's amazing. It reminds me a lot of A.S. King's writing style. I've read several of her books but nothing yet by Christa Desir, even though I've followed her on Twitter for quite a while. She's so cool!

I'm being bad and reading like 10 things at the same time. Reading the "Stars Above" short story collection, "V-Day" shot story collection, and "Star Wars: Lost Stars." Those are the ones I am really focusing on right now. So far, really enjoying them. Lost Stars was written by someone whose original sci-fi story I didn't care for at all (it was a SURPRISE THIS IS ACTUALLY JUST ROMANCE thing), so I am worried I might not like Lost Stars.
I just finished Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs & have now started on the second book in the series, Hollow City. LOVE it! :D I really like the old photographs touch. Anyway, I'll see how this second book goes & the final book, but right now it is definitely down as one of my favorite series/books!I'm also starting on Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson, which I'm only on chapter one right now but I like it so far!

I also just started The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, which is. . .inexplicable, at this point. Fantasy. Magic. History. Family. Definite adult crossover appeal.
Oh yeah, and I like to read as many books at one time as possible!
