it was believed for the longest time that like 99% of the scots at Culloden died...so Claire was just working under that assumption

trust me when I say keep reading...I really struggled with DFiA the first time I read it - it wasn't until a later re-read and reading the rest of the books in the series that I realized how pivitol it was to the storyline

But I am telling you, this book is soooo good. I promise all the boring stuff is worth reading because the good parts are so freaking good. Voyager is the next book and its AMAZING!

Voyager was my favorite of all the Outlander books. I loved them all, but Voyager was the best. I have all of them in paper copies, but Voyager is on my kindle so I can have access to it whenever, wherever I am.

I am currently reading Fiery Cross for the first time. It's good it just lacks the action the previous books have. I am enjoying it though. I can't wait for A Breath Of Snow and Ashes;

All this history and time traveling stuff confuses me. I think I'd love less action and more Jamie. Like a full book of Lallybroch happiness lol.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I would also surmise that they have gathered the books center on CLAIRE and Jamie...they are after all on the second book.

I am not particularly fond of Claire. I think she is self centered...among other things. I read because of Jamie. Just because I dislike a character doesn't mean I am not interested. I am interested in a different way and although I have issues with Claire I still want her and Jamie to be together and be happy.

Ones wife should never ever ever throw the fact that she saved his life back in his face. Jamie saved Claire countless times and continues silently doing so and bearing all the weight on his shoulders for her, and he never says a word. My heart broke when he said "I bear everyone's weakness, but am I not allowed to have my own?"

Also, she wouldn't be killing Frank, he just never would've existed in the first place. Big difference it would make for her if she's not planning to go back anyway. Seriously, hate Claire. How can she ask Jamie to let the demons take over his soul for a year. He couldn't even bear it when he thought Randall was dead, never mind knowing his biggest enemy is still very much alive and capable of coming near him. I just can't.
