Thus far in Jo Nesbø's crime fiction novel, i can tell that the protagonist, Harry Hole, is getting ready to have one of his characteristic emotional breakdown's. First his long time partner is murdered during an investigation, and now his replacement partner passes away from a suspicious food poisoning incident, traced back to a restaurant across the street from the Neo-Nazi controlled bar that functions as their headquarters. Harry has given up on his career with Crime Squad, and has decided that if he is going to find anything on The Prince, he has to go at it alone, and use more 'Unorthodox' methods. He has already picked up his first bottle of his 'good friend', Jim Beam. Harry has locked himself up inside his house for two weeks now to study case files that he had stolen, with none of the people who care about him having a clue as to what is going on. He wont return any phone calls, and has literately 7 different locks on his doors, to prevent people from disturbing him. This famous serial killer hunter has a curious way of doing things thats for sure.
