This is an interview with author Dee Marie!

1) How long have you been writing and when did you first start?

Honestly, I cannot remember a time that I was not writing. I started my writing career as a freelance journalist, and went on to become the Editor in Chief of a “printed” international computer graphic magazine.

As to my first novel, I started researching and writing “Sons of Avalon: Merlin’s Prophecy” in 1998. It was published in the spring of 2008.

2) Where do you get your ideas? (Readers always ask this question.)

As with most novelists, SOA started with a dream. Each night for a week, Merlin whispered in my ear. He patiently urged me to get out of bed and transcribe his story. With such a persistent muse, how could I refuse his request?

3) What is your favorite genre?

That is a hard question. I obviously enjoy historical fantasy, and anything dealing with the Arthurian Legends. However, my personal library has everything from tales of vampires and wizards (yes I have read and covet, the Twilight saga, as well as the Harry Potter series) to modern day murder mysteries.

I am not a huge fan of horror, science fiction, or romance novels. Yet, a good book is a good book...and there is nothing better than to get lost within a novel that is impossible to put down.

4) What is the name of your latest book and where can readers find it?

I am currently writing the second book in my “Sons of Avalon” saga. My first novel in the series, “Sons of Avalon: Merlin’s Prophecy” can be found (or ordered) through any bookstore, or requested at your local library.

5) If you had to give one great book recommendation, what would it be?

One of my much loved books is, “Love and Peace with Melody Paradise,” by my all-time favorite author, Martin Millar.
