I couldn't find another threat with this book, so I hope I'm not the only one who read this one!
This book was unlike anything I’ve read before. Almost like a collection of short stories...but not. Each chapter is separate with its own theme and focus. What appears to be a repeated theme through each chapter (so far) is the idea of music – especially the Beatles and Elvis – as a way to escape one’s surroundings. Music serving as a form of language – giving voice to a group of coming of age guys who otherwise don’t have a voice.
