Chris (cdavies1951) | 6 comments Jo Nesbo's "Harry Hole" character if you like a good Scandinavian mystery. Plenty of angst and good plots.

I just finished The Redbreast (Harry Hole, #3) by Jo Nesbø - I think it's 3rd in the series.

message 4: by Irene (new)

Irene The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher and the Avoiding series by KA Linde. Lots of lovely Angst. Plus Crows Row and Scare Crow by Julie Hockley:)

Ruth | 165 comments Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno, #1) by Sylvain Reynard

Destroyed by Pepper Winters this one is kinda dark...

I thought that was a great series, too. (Especially, Dirty Red).

Candace | 4 comments I loved the Consequences series by Aleatha Romig. It's kind of dark, but a great series that left me feeling conflicted with each new development. Captured by Erica Stevens is also a great book and much "lighter".

message 8: by Sarah :) (new)

Sarah :) | 42 comments Thoughtless series

message 9: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (charlie___tango) | 23 comments When I think angst... I think K.A. Linde. This series had me in complete knots up until the very last page.

Avoiding Commitment (Avoiding, #1) by K.A. Linde
Avoiding Responsibility (Avoiding, #2) by K.A. Linde
Avoiding Intimacy (Avoiding, #2.5) by K.A. Linde
Avoiding Temptation (Avoiding, #3) by K.A. Linde

McGee Magoo Illusions Complete Series (Illusions Series Volumes 1-3) by Annie Jocoby The first of the trilogy Beautiful Illusions by Annie Jocoby , is usually a freebie on Amazon... the rest of the series is just as messed up. LOL.

Elle Rush (ellerush) | 26 comments Favourite angsty books... Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward and Coyote's Mate (Breeds, #18) by Lora Leigh . All the 50SoG books are all angst, all the time. Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole and Aching To Exhale (Bantorus MC, #2) by Debra Kayn too.

message 18: by Mary (new)

Mary | -56 comments Beautiful Disaster and Damaged and the Beast are both about train wreck relationships that take you on an emotional roller coaster. Bad boys, emotionally screwed up girls - lots of angst.

message 19: by ~ Jess ~ (new)

~ Jess ~ | -9 comments Reading This Man Trilogy by Jodi Ellen Malpas now. Jesse Ward's way of showing love is pretty insane. Filled with angst.

Rain | 33 comments Pulse (Collide, #2) by Gail McHugh
Collide (Collide, #1) by Gail McHugh
Come Undone (The Cityscape, #1) by Jessica Hawkins
Come Alive (The Cityscape, #2) by Jessica Hawkins
Come Together (The Cityscape, #3) by Jessica Hawkins

Amazing books, but angst should have been in the book titles.

Dirty Red was amazing.. I loved that book!!!

message 25: by Kitten (new)

Kitten I would second some of the other recommendations, starting with Gabriel's Inferno. Holy crap that book had me on edge the entire time.
Also The Consequences Series.
Captive in the Dark, and Seduced in the Dark.
Push by Claire Wallis (This one still haunts me).
Uncovering You Series
The Sordid Promise, Courtney Lane
Grace Street Ella Dominguez
The Outlander Series ( I found this angsty, others may not)

Those are my recommendations, hope they help!

Aly Hernandez | 5 comments I am just finishing up Unforgiven by Elizabeth Finn and holy moses it is a roller coaster ride for sure. Great love story underneath all the angst though and ends with a HEA thank God! I don't think I could have handled it if it hadn't.
