I mean he really isn't that bad. To be honest the series would have been half as interesting without him. And for all those who think he's childish or silly, really need to pay close attention to the books. Yes, he can be bratty but with his bringing up and getting what he wants it is to be expected. More over, i think its more a front or a mask, i think he's vulnerable if anything and the reason he goes completely insane in the last book is because he wants help and is scared. Lastly, he isn't some kind of monster and he knows whats wrong and whats right, in the first book he puts down his gun and refuses to kill the virals . I mean if your father was some kind of emotionless monster who wants you to do things like cover up a murder and he's your only family, wouldn't you do it. Well anyways this is my opinion , but i hope his intentions are sincere and he will help the virals instead of turning against them.

Yeah it wouldn't but he is just kind of stuck up.I don't hate him but i don't necessarily like him. And when I read the last sentence of the book my squeeing and later throwing the book because i have to wait for the next one was heard all over.
I literally screamed into the book at the end of exposure.I really think Chance is going crazy.
And yeah he kinda completes the story, yes.
But he is flat out stupid and unlikable.

he cannot ben and tory were meant to be (as soon as ben gets over his attitude issues)
Chance is being extremely stupid and I am totally spazing out right now. I mean reading the last sentence on Exposure can do that to you. I don't know if I will like Chance in the Virals pack. I dont trust him.

YES they better hurry up and sort their crap out and get together because it is extremely frustrating! I think the more of Chance's character is revealed and developed I like him more because it explains why he is the way he is. I think there is some light for him in the next book considering his turn around/plea for help huge ending scene
The only thing left to really worry about is what is happening to the virals and how will the two packs get along? Also I really want to know who is in chances pack and what their powers are like!!
Yes finding out about this new pack with red eyes will be interesting. Are they going to be old or high school alumni I wonder. Would you say that you like Chance now since the very ending Jordan?
Yes and no I start to understand and feel for him more cause I mean the virals made him think he was crazy although he did kinda deserve that and all he really wanted was answers and that's why he created the red eyes pack. But then again he should have just left the virals alone I mean he and his pack attacked Tory and if Coop hadn't been there she could have been seriously injured or dead because of Chance.
Yeah that pretty much sums up how I think he will be. In the last book I don't think he will be as bad but I don't think he has good intentions either.
While Chance is helpful and kind of likable*SPOILER*
He is not allowed to be a viral. Period. If you think so, I want you to go sit down and think about what's wrong with your life. Because a viral Chance is not except able.
I don't know, i mean it's a new dynamic and a pretty interesting one. I agree it was a pretty big shock, but i wouldn't say a necessarily bad one. To be honest Chance Claybourne in the books so far in relation to the virals has either helped them in some way or stalked them, so by becoming a viral he becomes a significantly stronger character which may not be such a bad thing as long as he has good intentions....

True wrote: "I might be totally wrong but he may have like a lone wolf thing going on"Actually that might be true... any thoughts?
I don't really hate Chance. I liked him in the first one, but with him being a threat to maybe being Tori's boyfriend instead of Ben? Yeah that kind of made me not like him. If he wasn't in the books I would be really sad, so in that way I like him but if he makes Tori not able to stay with Ben I will be really mad.
I think Chance being in the pack will never happen because he just doesn't have the bond and trust that they have established through out the other books. He works counter to them too many times. Tori and the pack might help clean up the mess chance made, but Tori won't accept him into the pack.
Why I don't like Chance:He's devious.
He's a liar.
He's manipulative.
He's a jerk.
He's untrustable.
He's spoiled.
He is still (somehow) a center of attention for the Virals.
He's the kind of person I would never have as an acquaintance. The good news is that the Virals will finally have a person of equal speed and skill to challenge. But if Kathy Reichs tries to make a friggin love triangle with Tory, Ben and Chance, so help me...
