books turned into films discussion

I saw this preview when I went to see HP6 the other day. I listened to it on audiobook and liked it ok, it has a lot of Greek mythology hwich I really like. But, just like Pendragon, it felt too immature for me. So I never read anymore of the series. But, the movie looks good and I think I'll probably go see it.

I liked the book.

I think the fact that I listened to it was a drawback. The narrator made me feel like I was 10 years old! The same with the Pendragon books. The story is good and if it weren't for the way it was being read I'd probably like it much more.

I love the books. They were awesome. I can't wait to see the movie. : }

Shoshanah, I 100% agree. I've read both series, (exept for th last two Pendragons) and now that you mention it, I see exactly what you mean! You are so right. :)

I just heard of a book that looks good..Wings by Aprilynne Pike.
Also really liked A Certain Slant of Light and it's a stand alone book.

Wings is such a good book they should make a sequel

I wanted to read Wings. Is it fantasy? or what?

Eme- she is writing a sequel and Disney is making the movie of Wings with Miley Cyrus in the lead role.

Carrie- All I know is that it's about fairies and it's supposedly really good!

I know! It just doesn't seem right!! But, apparently everyone thinks she's perfect for the role cause she's a musically talented fairy. I would have rather have seen Selena Gomez if that's what they need. She at least can sing! And she's prettier!

Wings is about this girl who is a plant/farrie. Miley cirus looks like the books character does but i but lots of people could do a better job than her.

It's unique, but dumb. People mess, mine up too, LOL. Even though it isn't that hard. They usually call me AY-remy or AH-remy. But it's AIR-EMY. Really? That's a gorgeous name.

Isn't Selena cute? I like the fact that she seems more down to earth and she is definitely more talented IMHO.
