ONTD Book Club discussion

May suggestion time.

We can try some themes this month: novellas, banned books, childhood favorites, recent obsessions, the one on your bookshelf you've been meaning to read, or even one for school.

We have a classic pick set: The Secret Garden. My absolute favorite book as a kid.

My favorite childhood book would have to be Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. I've had Diary by Chuck Palahniuk on my shelf for a million years, so I'd suggest that one! The Age of Miracles was also amazing!

I want Alice's Adventures In Wonderland too!

A banned book theme would be amazing too.

My favorite book as a child was The Phantom Tollbooth. Soooo great. Tons of puns and plays on words.

The Phantom Tollbooth is also one of my all time favs!

Love The Phantom Tollbooth as well!

Charlotte's Web and Where the Sidewalk Ends were probably my faves as a wee babe.

Legend

I'm reading this one now, but I keep getting distracted by other books.

I'm going to nominate The Goldfinch since it won the Pulitzer and it has been on my to-read list for a bit.

I'm going to leave this open a little while longer.

I would definitely be interested in Legend. I have had it sitting on my kindle for a few months now!

I am not doing a poll this month. I'm too sick and busy to deal with it. I'm picking books for the next two months.

Meh. I'm dealing severe chronic daily migraines... Can't drive. Can't work. Can't really leave the house more than twice a week. I had to leave my home in California in March (and one of my dogs) to move back in with my parents in North Carolina. My life in a shitshow right now. Disability, lawyers, doctors, pharmacists - I'm exhausted. :(

Oh, that's horrible. I'm sorry. I hope they figure something out for you so you can get better. I know migraines suck.
