I would prefer not to be captain, but can do it if no one else wants to. The first two weeks I will have limited access to the internet, only through work during the week or on my weekend(Sun/Mon) when I can go home during the day since I am dogsitting/housesitting until the end of April.

I have a 3 month old so my times are erratic. I can't help out with captaincy.

Have we decided on a captain?

Have we decided on a captain?"
We hadn't, but I rolled since it seemed no one else had yet and to give us as much time as possible to find books. If Amy wants to do it from now on that is fine, or I can keep doing it.

But the last is too long (1200+ pages) and I'll go with either the first or the second.

partly set in Louisiana
I am enjoying this series. Instead of focusing on one immortal species, it is mixing them all up together. In this book, a young witch and a Lykae who were battling against each other in the previous book must find a way to work together to get back to safety in order to hold off a war among species. Then they take on a near goddess with an interesting twist at the end. I am looking forward to see who gets the next book.

Book: Die For Me: A Novel of the Valentine Killer by Cynthia Eden
Date: 21/04/14
Rating: 3 stars
Review:
A Romantic Suspense set completely in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The MC are Katherine, a witness whose ex-fiancé was the famous serial killer, Valentine and Dane Black, a New Orleans police officer.
The suspense part was very well done. I couldn't see the twist coming even though I was thinking of so many scenarios. The romance part, on the other hand, between the two MCs was totally unbelievable. It had the insta-lust/love trope which is not my favorite. I realize that in a genre where the events in a book happen over a course of short time, the author has to somehow connect the characters but I think a HFN would have been better than HEA that this book has. I didn't believe in the love of the two MCs and the whole thing.
But the suspense portion was enough to keep me hooked even though I was rolling my eyes at the romance portion. I'll definitely be checking out other books by this author.

o.k. lets talk catch up. everyone from school is now on vacation at the Hamptons
Blair: she is pressing her family for picking her sister's name. ( i know she has brothers and sisters :) ) her mother is still depressed and a stay at home mom. she is hoping she got into yale.. i will not spoil that fun for you yet! she is planning revenge because she thinks nate is cheating on her..
nate: he is still cheating on blair. not only with Serena, but also with lexie. everyone is going to his apartment for some "stoner" party. he is making a plan to steal his fathers boat and go to a remote island.
Serena: not much to say except she still sleeps around and is up for a good time.
After watching the television show, the novel is obviously a segment of the whole storyline, because it does not really give much explanation as to what happens to each character and is slightly anti-climatic with the story. However, the plot is as follows: nearing end of school year, and nearing graduation all the senior students have to choose a college in which to attend and the preferred college for most is Yale. When Blair is put on the waiting list, with her dream to attend Yale in limbo, her tension with her friends is shown. The experiences of “fun,” that each student experience waiting for the end of the year to approach is a little extreme in some ways. With high priced shopping adventures, and the spa retreat they all attend their fun is a little outrageous to me.

Space: 7

Such a cute and light hearted contemporary read to get me in the mood for summer.
I love how the author has written this. It's humorous and totally believable to the reader. Such a good read for those long summer nights or lazy days where you want to read something light and fluffy.

We can read a #1, #4, or #14 in a series. The alternate is an author that starts with E.

This was a funny read about a girl who doesn't really fit in her world. She gets sent off to finishing school with her mother hoping it will bring her up to social standards. But the finishing school is not what most people expect. I really like the contrast of prim and proper with newer technology in the steampunk genre.

I finished Twisted on May 1st. It was an ok read. The misunderstanding was so visible a mile long. I gave it 3 stars.

I rolled a 6 which puts us on Space 20.
We can read #2 in a series or a standalone book. The alternate is an author starting with G.

I am reading dead ends by Erin longe

Still have no clue what I am doing!!! Have faith...I will figure it out!!!
