*This is a book that I am currently querying so don't expect it to be up longer than it takes to find an agent or a publisher, for obvious reasons, though if these reasons are not so obvious, copyright issues and the fact that if a publisher buys it, they don't want the story to be out there in a naked format already, lol. Anyhow, I still would very much like feedback and critique so that I can write an incredible second draft since the first, while well, I don't think it's the best, as I'm planning on adding about 20-30,000 more words to it, haha.
In a dystopian future, Jay-Ho is a Pig-Slaughterer on the Farm. This is the only life he has ever known. He has never though to question why he does it or the morality of what he does on the day-to-day basis. This is until he kills the Skinny Pig. Not long after getting rid of the pigs body, Jay is suddenly haunted by nightmares and visions cloaked in red of the pig and of his deepest fears, and as he grapples with his insanity and morality, he goes on an incredible (and horrifying) journey to confront The Farmer.
The first book in s duet, the Farm is a existential and psychological dark thriller that is as thoughtful as it is action packed and rich with metaphors and themes.
