When did you read it? Was it a short story rather than a full-length book? Was it in an anthology, or did you read it by itself?

Martha Schroyer | 11 comments I don't recall exactly when I read it, but think it would have been in the late 70s or in the 80s. I it was in the beginning of the book, but can't remember if it was a novel or a short story anthology. I am inclined to to say it was a novel.

Martha Schroyer | 11 comments I remember a scene from the story: they are camping out. "They" being two men or a man and boy as well as the telepathic girl. The mood is they are hiding. Are they kidnappers of the girl or merely acquaintances that are helping her hide from others? It seemed important that the helmet not be removed or the others would easily find the girl.

Serendi I first read that as someone named Elfen told a lie....

So is it the manga series, starting with Elfen Lied Vol. 1, by Lynn Okamoto?

Martha Schroyer | 11 comments Definitely not a manga. I believe it is an adult science fiction book, that I read in the late 70's or early 80's . I recall borrowing the book from a library, but at this point I can't recall which one it would have been.

Martha, are you still looking for this or did you find it?

Sue Elleker | 1055 comments I read one like this in the 70's. I think the girl's name was Jade, and they had to link minds with an animal to 'Jump' as they called it.

No response in 2+ years; moving to Abandoned.

Sue Elleker | 1055 comments I know this is abandoned, but I recently found this author again; Doris Piserchia, and the book is Star Rider.https://www.fantasticfiction.com/p/do...
