I'm at 16% it's alright but someday I'm going to learn to stop reading zombie novels since I really don't like them. I heard this one was more about the characters and so far it has good characters. Hopefully that will be enough to keep me interested.

I'm at 20% and I just want to say the bath salts part kind of makes me want to quit reading it. When that happened it pissed me off so much that everyone was just joking around about zombies like they thought that some poor guy getting attacked by a drug addict and having his face chewed off while he was still alive was funny. Now here this author is making a joke about it in Her book and I feel the same way. There is no difference between that and exploiting the tortured and raped and murdered victims of a real life serial killer to make a movie about him, not a documentary but a movie to entertain people. I love horror But I never laugh at real life tragedies, I think it bothers me more than the movies based on a true story because at least those are still horror. The bath salts thing was nothing but a joke that everyone seems to think was funny except me.

Bath salts are a synthetic drug, one of many that where made and legally sold while the lengthy process of making them illegal was going on. During that time someone who mass high on them attacked a homeless man, held him down and ate 3/4 of his face while he was screaming and fighting to get up. He survived and is probably going to be messed up about it for the rest of his life. When it happened all I heard was zombie jokes, on tv, radio, everyone I know. Laughing about a guy being brutally assaulted by a drug addict and having his face chewed off.

I'm at 26 percent and it is the same old zombie book as every other zombie book I have ever read. Reading the description when it won the goodreads award I thought that it took place on a ranch called red hill and zombies where just a minor part of the book with a main focus on what was going on at the ranch with the characters that were holed up there because of the zombies So far it is a run and survive story like all the others.

I wasn't going to drop out on you, but if you don't want to read it either then I'm fine with dropping it. I'm not enjoying it. We can start something else, or just wait awhile and do another group read later. If you want to start a different one it's your turn to pick, if you want to suggest two or three and I will pick between them. Or I'm fine with finishing this one of you want to, who knows maybe they will all be at red hill ranch in the next chapter and it will be better. It's up to you.
I like our "not horror" buddy reads. So I would read that one also as long as I can find a copy.
Yea New thread. I noticed (and commented on your status) that you flew through the first 25% in a little over a half hour after marking it as "reading" is it short or just that good? I am on a busy job but I will start it after lunch break at 7 when I rotate onto a job that lets me read.
