I actually read the first chapter to get a feel and so far so good. I came across the other 3 books at a bookstore but I passed on them. Wondering if I shud have just bought them.

I'm excited for this one, it seems right up my alley. I also have Necroscope in paperback, may move onto that one if I really like this series.

Yes I think they are in Edinburgh which is in Scotland.

I'm really intrigued by this story. Hoping to read more in the next few days.

So what do u think? Im at the part where they meet the girl who will help them escape. Its interesting, but at this point, though early, I'm unsure if I'm really enjoying it. We'll see.

Ok. The end of ch4 pulled me in again. I love it when fantasy goes dark.

I'm not that far but I'm going to get some reading done tonight! This kind of thing is exactly up my alley, I love all things Lovecraftian!

I know what you mean, its interesting but lacking a bit of action toward the beginning to really suck you in. Hope that changes.

I'm further in now. It has picked up action wise and gotten a bit weird, but I'm going to keep reading. The writing is a bit dry in a British sort of way...

Im around pg 100. I was a little shocked about eldin and Aminza...i prob butchered that. I thought hero wud have made a better match. Still, it is weird like u said but interesting enuf to continue.

I came across psychomech for a buck. Have u read those? Looks ok I guess, though reviews say its horrible.

Haven't read them but they look interesting. Yeah, for some reason the Eldin/Aminza thing grossed me out a little bit...

I'm a little ways through now, page 170 or so. I like the part with the big tree, although this book is starting to remind me of The Lord of the Ring or something like that. I was hoping there would be a bit more horror.

I'll try and catch up today. It does seem more like a fantasy read with horror sprinkled in here and there.

This book is really quite fun and comical. I really wanted to know the rest of that rhyme that Hero begun to tell Eldin.

Im guessing ur done with this. Im gonna try to muscle my way through. I like this book but not sure I wanna continue the series.

No, I'm not done, just finished up Clash of Kings and now my kids have be busy this weekend with a big dance recital. I will try to finish it soon. I have the next in the series but not sure when I will get to it, with so much else to read!

Sorry Maxine, but I think I'm gonna put this on the backburner, less u finished it and convince me otherwise. I only got to ch6.

No worries, I'm only going to finish it sometime soon just because I've only got a little left but I haven't picked it up for a couple weeks myself!
