Indie Book Club discussion

Being ever on the look out for new ways to market or catch the eye, I must confess, this fantasy author has considered but never quite given in to the call of the book trailer. That doesn't mean my mind doesn't work in visual methods, though, and case and point, this month I'm trying something a little different.

What might you all think about a literary inspired, costumed photoshoot? I thought it might be fascinating to bring at least one of my characters to life for my first novel's anniversary. So, I tossed shame to the wind and gave it a try (I also got to play with swords). Sure, it felt a bit like self-cosplay, but I'm a fantasy author. I like trying strange new things.

Thoughts? Anyone else care to join in with some of their own characters (or others', for that matter)?
