One main conflict in Maniac Magee, by Jerry Spinelli is between Jeffery Lionel Magee and Mars Bar Thompson. There are multiple occasions in which they have a confrontation and a argument or problem arises between them. I think that Jerry Spinelli does this because they are very different from each other but they can still come together.
