2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I chose this book because I love the Vampire Diaries show. The story followed the show pretty much with a few differences but nothing that took away from the story line This was the first book in the series and will continue to read the rest of the series as it is well written for a young adult book.

I tried to listen to this on audiobook and I just couldn't do it. I really love the show but I just did not like Elena in the book. She seemed to selfish and self-centered. Does she improve as the story goes on?

not sure have not read the next book but I do agree with you on Elena coming off as being selfish and self-centered and in the first book matt even mentions that lol

Elena kinda remains self centered through out the first two books in the next book it gets a little better...she improves a lot as the story goes on...all he characters improve actually...

I'll be traveling along with you on your journey, though--perhaps shamefully--I have never seen the show.
