Personally I prefer paperback books. I find hardcovers too heavy and annoying to read sometimes.
I'm exactly the same. I only own 3 books in hardcover! Paperbacks are just so much more neat as well, with no bending flaps/dust jackets. The only problem is if it's not a floppy paperback - 'to break or not to break' the spine!
hard covers are my favourite, though I agree that the dust covers can be annoying. I haven't even got that much though as they can be quite expensive.
Oops I meant to say hardcovers up there not paperbacks. Hardcovers do look really good s lot of the time I guess.
I totally prefer paperback! I like hardcovers, but I have a major pet peeve with the sleeve that goes over the top of the book...I usually read on my bed, so when I place a hardcover down, I hate it if the sleeve gets bent or ripped, so I always take it off of hardcovers when I can while I'm reading. I never have that problem with paperbacks
I also prefer paperback, because I like to fold my book, make it look like it's been read (I know, it's kind of weird). And also, it's not really handy if you want to take the book everywhere, it takes a lot of place.
Yeah, I think I am the only one. Paper back is nice too, but I have a always preferred hard cover books.
It's better looking, but I think it's too expensive for what it is, besides, for me it's really not convenient, most of the time I've got a small purse and can only put a paperback in it. But i'll admit they are the nicer one!
Yeah, if you want to take books somewhere, hardcovers are so heavy and take up so much space. They look pretty good, but paperbacks are just easier to handle most of the time.

I actually prefere german books that are hardcover and english books as paperback editions, because english paperbacks are far more prettier than the german ones and for hardcovers it's the other way around. Another point is that the german hardcovers aren't that much more expensive than the paperbacks!
Hardcovers forever. They're expensive, but if I really like a book, I definitely get it in hardcover. Besides, in case I get the chance to get it signed, a hardcover is perfect! Heavy, but worth it.
I'm a hardcover lover too!!!That's not to say I don't have paperback books also. BUT I love a nice heard cover they are attractive and lovely to display on a book shelve once I'm done with them!
I also recently got GoT books and I got them in a leather bound version which is not exactly hard cover, they have more flexibility similar to a soft cover yet they feel more durable than one. Anyway they are my favorite, looks wise and feel wise. And the SMELL.... Leather and paper. Love it.
@Vulva I can no agree more!I looove hard covers! And I have the game of thrones series all in a beautiful leather bound version. They are esthetically my favorite! But I haven't read the books yet :p
We sure do:) I want to one day have a large library with all my beautiful books on it for display. How lovely!
Both for different reasons. I like hardcover because they look better on the shelf and I do like reading hardcover. But I personally like reading paperback better because they are more floppy and stuff!
