' “It’s not just a stream of gibberish” -- On Illustrating Finnegans Wake ' linked. by Biblioklept :: http://biblioklept.org/2014/04/17/its...

"At The Honest Ulsterman, Darran Anderson talks with Stephen Crowe about illustrating James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake in his project Wake in Progress."

Geoff | 166 comments Lovely find. Those are beautiful. Additionally, the upper right link on the first page there is for Sonic Youth playing %100 on Letterman in 1992, which is pretty sweet in itself...

I was even totally Sonic back then. I was one of those, Like Day Dream Nation totally got me through the late '80's. Kind of thing.

But I didn't look closely at the Crowe stuff ; how far along he is ; is there a bookbook planned, etc. Thought I'd let yourgoodself provide that service. I just like to find pretty Wake pitchers.

I hope you're not being ironic, because the entire SY catalog got me through the 90's, unironically.

No. SY is the reason I never learned to play guitar properly. But my ear turned a corner shortly after Dirty ; but, yeah, Day Dream and Hüsker Dü's Zen Arcade are both still totally within my shrine. Even from the xian rock days there are a few bands I can still totally dig.
