Memoir Authors discussion

Has anyone else tried Amazon KDP book cover beta generator to create your ebook cover? I just changed the cover of False Prophet using that app, which is within the KDP details page at "upload cover". I could not create the cover I really want, but I think the one I have developed is somewhat better than the one I had, which was created by a professional designer.

Thoughts?

Fyi: There were problems with the "Cover Creator" app, which had to be solved through KDP's customer help desk. It was frustrating the app did not work, but the service response was timely and efficient.
