I did like it at first, but I think once they knew the show was going to be cancelled they threw the storyline under the bus.I thought Jonathan Rhys Davies (think that's his name previously played in the series on Henry the VIII) played a wonderful understated Dracula and loved the women in the series too.
It did make me laugh how old Dracula was trying to fit into English society back when they were very snobbish on letting Americans in, and Drac trying so hard to get into the "group".
Some of their science and technology at the time I think was over done as they weren't that far ahead and that's where they might have lost some people.
But it was fun to watch after Grimm instead of Dateline or another news show!
Not sure if it is correct, but on April 6 NBC had renewed Dracula for another season. I liked the show early in the season, however towards the end started to lose interest. I may watch the first few episodes of season 2 but if the story line doesn't get better I would finish the season.
it probably won't last more than a couple of seasons but I hope that's its true especially after helsing told harken that grayson is dracula and that grayson and her were finally together
I was hoping it would be picked up for another season since toward the last couple of episodes some action finally started to pick up. When Harken joined the brotherhood and started playing double agent you had to figure that there would be more fighting and action scenes. The sets and scenery was amazing and I thought the acting was pretty good for a tv series. Plus watching it right after grimm kept the whole paranormal vibe going.
